Landwirtschaft, die Grundlage für die Agrar- und Ernährungswirtschaft in NWE, ist heute stark abhängig von externen Eingänge (Düngemittel, Pestizide, ...) und schafft damit einige negative Auswirkungen auf die Qualität der natürlichen Ressourcen (Boden, Wasser, Biodiversität). Funktionelle Agro-Biodiversität (FAB) (gezielte Förderung der biologische Vielfalt Ökosystem-Dienstleistungen wie Schädlings- und Krankheitsbekämpfung, Bestäubung, Boden- und Wasserqualität zu liefern) bietet die Möglichkeit, drastisch die Abhängigkeit von Eingaben zu reduzieren, aber unser Wissen ist immer noch stark fragmentiert und unzureichend eingebettet in landwirtschaftliche Praxis, Politik und Gesellschaft.Fabulous Farmer soll die Durchführung von FAB von Landwirten und andere Landbewirtschafter in NWE beschleunigt, durch das Wissen und die praktische Erfahrung von FAB bündeln, vertiefen und dem Austausch zwischen Landwirten, Wissenschaftlern, Bürgern und politischen Entscheidungsträger in 12 Pilotregionen in NWE Verbreitung über 5 Länder (FR, NL, UK, BE und LUX). 10 FAB-Lösungen regional entwickelt, getestet und demonstrierten über 315 Farmen und bewertet ökologische Funktionsfähigkeit und Wirtschaftlichkeit mit dem Ziel der Verringerung der Abhängigkeit von externen Eingängen um durchschnittlich 30% zu verbreiten. In jeder Pilotregion wird ein FAB-Lernnetzwerk eingerichtet, in dem Landwirte Wissen und Erfahrungen austauschen und einen FAB-Aktionsplan erstellen. Darüber hinaus arbeiten wir mit lokalen Akteuren, Bürgern, politischen Entscheidungsträgern und Kettenpartnern zusammen, um FAB durch die Ausarbeitung und Umsetzung von FAB-Landschaftsplanungsplänen und die Einführung von Citizen-Science-Tools breiter in Gesellschaft, Politik und Markt einzubetten. Entwicklung von Strategiepapieren (auf EU- und nationaler / regionaler Ebene) und 12 Geschäftsfälle zur Valorisierung von FAB über den Markt.

L’agriculture, base du secteur agroalimentaire de l'ENO, depend aujourd’hui fortement d'intrants externes (engrais, pesticides, etc.) et crée d'effets négatifs sur la qualité des ressources naturelles (sol, eau, biodiversité). L'agrobiodiversité fonctionnelle (FAB) (stimulation ciblée de la biodiversité pour fournir des services écosystémiques tels que la lutte contre les parasites et les maladies, la pollinisation, la qualité des sols et de l'eau) offre la possibilité de réduire fortemen la dépendance aux intrants, mais les connaissances dans ce domaine sont encore très fragmentées et insuffisamment intégrées dans les pratiques agricoles, politique et société. FABulous Farmers vise à accélérer la mise en œuvre des FAB par les agriculteurs et autres gestionnaires de terres de l’ENO, en regroupant, approfondissant et échangeant les connaissances et les expériences pratiques sur les FAB entre agriculteurs, scientifiques, citoyens et décideurs dans 12 régions pilotes sur 5 pays (FR, NL, UK, BE et LUX). 10 solutions FAB sont développées de manière régionale, testées et démontrées dans 315 exploitations et évaluées en termes de performances écologiques et de rentabilité économique, dans le but de réduire la dépendance aux intrants externes de 30% en moyenne. Dans chaque région pilote, un réseau d’apprentissage FAB est mis en place dans lequel les agriculteurs échangent des connaissances et des expériences et élaborent un plan d’action FAB. En outre, nous collaborons avec les acteurs locaux, les citoyens, les décideurs et les partenaires de la chaîne afin d’intégrer plus largement FAB dans la société, les politiques et les marchés, en élaborant et en mettant en œuvre des plans d’intégration des paysages de FAB et en mettant en place des outils scientifiques destinés aux citoyens; élaboration de documents de politique (aux niveaux européen et national/régional) et de 12 analyses de rentabilisation pour la valorisation des FAB par le biais du marché.

The agricultural sector, the basis for the agro-food sector in NWE, is today heavily dependent on external inputs (fertilizers, pesticides, etc.) and creates a number of negative effects on the quality of natural resources (soil, water, biodiversity). Functional Agrobiodiversity (FAB) (targeted stimulation of biodiversity to deliver ecosystem services such as pest and disease control, pollination, soil and water quality) offers opportunities to drastically reduce the dependence on inputs, but the knowledge in this area is still highly fragmented and insufficiently embedded in agricultural practice, policy and society.FABulous Farmers aims to accelerate the implementation of FAB by farmers and other land managers in NWE, by collecting, deepening and sharing knowledge and practical experiences about FAB between farmers, scientists, citizens and policy makers in 12 pilot regions in NWE over 5 countries (FR, NL, UK, BE and LUX). 10 FAB solutions are developed in a region-oriented manner, tested and demonstrated across 315 farms and evaluated for ecological performance and economic profitability, with the aim of reducing the dependence on external inputs by an average of 30%. In each pilot region, a FAB learning network is set up in which farmers exchange knowledge and experiences and draw up a FAB action plan. In addition, we collaborate with local actors, citizens, policy makers and value chain partners to embed FAB more widely in society, policy and market, through the design and implementation of FAB landscape integration plans and the rollout of citizen science tools; development of policy papers (at EU and national / regional level), and 12 business cases for valorisation of FAB via the market. Finally, a long-term development plan is drawn up for the continuation and expansion of the FAB learning networks after the end of the project.
