La Euroregión Galicia-Norte de Portugal está sufriendo un cambio en su estructura poblacional con un descenso de la tasa de natalidad y un aumento de la esperanza de vida, lo que, unido a una migración de la población joven, supone el incremento del porcentaje de habitantes mayores de 55 años de edad. La finalidad de este proyecto es fomentar iniciativas de investigación, innovación y mejora de los servicios sociales en el área de cooperación Galicia-Norte de Portugal, para la instauración de nuevos modelos de intervención social transfronterizos a la altura del desafío del envejecimiento de la población.

The Galicia-Northern Portugal Euroregion is undergoing a change in its population structure with a decrease in the birth rate and an increase in life expectancy, which, together with a migration of the young population, means an increase in the percentage of inhabitants over 55 years of age. The purpose of this project is to promote research initiatives, innovation and improvement of social services in the area of cooperation Galicia-North of Portugal, for the establishment of new models of cross-border social intervention to meet the challenge of population aging.

A Eurorregião Galiza-Norte de Portugal está a sofrer uma mudança na sua estrutura demográfica, com uma diminuição da taxa de natalidade e um aumento da esperança de vida que, juntamente com a migração da população jovem dos territórios rurais para os núcleos de impulso ou fora desta área de cooperação, supõe o aumento da percentagem de habitantes com mais de 55 anos de idade. O principal objectivo deste projeto é incentivar iniciativas de investigação, inovação e melhoria dos serviços sociais na área da cooperação Galiza-Norte de Portugal, para o estabelecimento de novos modelos de intervenção social transfronteiriça para enfrentar o desafio do envelhecimento da população.
