During the implementation of the project Kedainiai Regional Museum will collaborate with partner in Belarus (National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve Niasvizh). Project aim is to share the Radziwills' historical heritage, thus creating a more sustainable and efficient cultural and historical heritage, to increase vitality and attractiveness of Kedainiai and Nesvizh regions and to ensure the bigger flow of tourists. Project will have a direct impact on the economy in both regions. As tourists are very interested in historical heritage of the Radziwills' family, project seeks to restore the remaining tombs, show the artifacts related to them, and to adapt them for tourists visits. Project will promote cooperation between 2 regions sharing the same history of the Radziwills' family. In the year of 2017 Kedainiai will celebrate Reformation 500th anniversary. Kedainiai Reformed Church is the largest Protestant remaining church with unique Radziwills' family Mausoleum. That's way Radziwills' family Mausoleum, restoration and adaptation of tourism is very meaningful for Lithuania. Nesvizh Catholic Corpus Christy Church is extant a huge Dukes Radziwill' family tomb, which is the largest in Europe (holds 72 sarcophagi). But until now, this tomb is fiddly accessible for tourists. That is why after appropriate scientific researches Belarusian authorities have taken the decision to show the most outstanding artifacts taken from the Crypt in the permanent exhibition of the National historical and cultural museum-reserve Niasvizh (Radziwills' palace located in 500 meters from Corpus Christi Church). Kedainiai Regional Museum connection with partners in Belarus is very important for Radziwills' heritage promotion, project will give a chance for tourist to discover the history of Dukes family in both regions (to discover unified historical heritage and joint exhibitions of Radziwills' family). Project will strengthen regional identity and a sense of belonging.
