Description (EN): The project is a direct continuation of the activities carried out in the project from the 1st Program recruitment. The general objective of the project is to increase the use of natural and cultural resources of cross-border cities of Elk and Kaunas for tourism purposes. The main activities of the project are: creating a unique tourist attraction allowing admiring the natural heritage of Lake Ełckie (sightseeing tower) and the development of cultural heritage in the castle in Kaunas (amphitheater). Therefore, the City of Ełk will continue to develop the potential of the shore of Lake Ełckie, and the City of Kaunas - the potential of the Castle in Kaunas. These two investments will make it possible to use attractive places in a controlled manner and in accordance with established rules. The partners will also continue to carry out joint activities aimed at increasing awareness of the tourist attractiveness of both regions as potential places for recreation and leisure. The project has planned activities that will promote the region as a tourist destination: maps, audio guide, application, billboards, travel of journalists, articles - national range, announcements on social media. These materials will be developed based on natural and cultural heritage. The target group of the project are residents of both cities and regions, tourists visiting the border area. Total value of the project: 741 021,56 EUR, 15% of the contribution will be covered by LB, B2 and B3.
Read more Description (PL): Projekt jest bezpośrednią konyunuacją działań realizowanych w projekcie z 1-ego naboru Programu. Celem ogólnym projektu jest zwiększenie wykorzystania zasobów naturalnych i kulturowych transgranicznych miast Ełku i Kowna do celów turystycznych. Główne działania w ramach projektu to: stworzenie unikalnej atrakcji turystycznej pozwalającej na podziwianie dziedzictwa naturalnego Jeziora Ełckiego (wieża widokowa) oraz rozwój dziedzictwa kulturowego na terenie zamku w Kownie (amfiteatr). Zatem Miasto Ełk będzie dalej rozwijało potencjał brzegu Jeziora Ełckiego, a Miasto Kowno potencjał Zamku w Kownie. Te dwie inwestycje pozwolą wykorzystać atrakcyjne miejsca w sposób kontrolowany i zgodnie z ustalonymi regułami. Partnerzy będą również w dalszym ciagu realizować wspólne działania mające na celu zwiększenie świadomości na temat atrakcyjności turystycznej obu regionów jako potencjalnych miejsc do rekreacji i wypoczynku. W projekcie są planowane działania, które będą promować region jako cel turystyczny: mapy, audioprzewodnik, aplikacja, bilbordy, podróże dziennikarzy, artykuły o zasięgu krajowym, ogłoszenia w mediach społecznościowych. Materiały te zostaną opracowane w oparciu o dziedzictwo przyrodnicze i kulturowe. Grupą docelową projektu są mieszkańcy obu miast i regionów, turyści odwiedzający obszar przygraniczny. Całkowita wartość projektu: 741 021,56 EUR, 15% wkładu zostanie pokryte przez LB, B2 i B3.
Read more Description (LT): Ši paraiška yra projekto, kuris buvo įgyvendinamas pagal Programos 1-ajį kvietimą, tęsinys. Pagrindinis projekto tikslas yra skatinti gamtos ir kultūros paveldo objektų Kaune ir Elke panaudojimą turizmo tikslams. Pagrindinės projekto veiklos: sukurti unikalų turistų traukos centrą, kuris leistų lankytojams gėrėtis gamtos paveldo objektu - Elko ežeru (apžvalgos bokštas) bei vystyti kultūros paveldo objektą - Kauno pilį (amfiteatras). Atsižvelgiant į tai, Elko miestas ir toliau vystys Elko ežero pakrantės turistinį potencialą, o Kauno miestas - Kauno pilies turistinį potencialą. Investicijos į šiuos du objektus sudarys sąlygas pasinaudoti turizmui patraukliomis vietomis saugiai ir nesukeliant joms neigiamo poveikio. Abi projekto šalys ir toliau vykdys bendras veiklas, kuriomis siekiama skleisti informaciją apie regionuose esančius turizmo traukos taškus ir kurti poilsiui bei laisvalaikiui patrauklių vietovių įvaizdį. Projekte planuojamos veiklos, kuriomis siekiama pristatyti regioną kaip turizmo kryptį: žemėlapiai, audio gidai, mobilios aplikacijos, plakatai, kelionių žurnalai, straipsniai nacionalinėje spaudoje, pranešimai socialiniuose tinkluose, Ši medžiaga bus grindžiama regione esančiais gamtos ir kultūros paveldo objektais. Projekto tikslinė grupė - abiejų miestų ir regionų gyventojai, turistai besilankantys pasienio teritorijoje. Bendra projekto vertė - 741 021,56 EUR, 15% projekto lėšų sudarys LB, B2 ir B3 lėšos.
Read more Achievements (EN): Construction of Lake Elk sightseeing tower and development of cultural heritage sight Kaunas Castle area has been done during the project. 1 joint route including objects from Elk and Kaunas has been created. Festival in Elk during Tęcza and afestival in Kaunas during Hanza Days were organised. What is more, 1 mobile application of heritage route and 30 pieces of equipment for audioguide were purchased.
