Description (EN):

- The main objective of the project is to increase the safety of border crossing points and the adjoining areas, which in turn will benefit in the form of increased sense of security of the population of the border area. Additional added value will be the growth of tourism and business opportunities at the regional level. The joint implementation of the project by the border authorities of the two countries will not only improve the efficiency of their operations, but also strengthen the partnership and cooperation between them. - There is an urgent need to strengthen the protection of Ukrainian-Polish border by modern equipment of surveillance and response to attempts of illegally crossing the border due to increasing of attempts of illegal migration to EU countries, intensification of threats at the common state border, changing tactics of offenders and criminals by using of modern technical means; - The overall objective of the project is to Ensuring of effective monitoring for the common border by the using of mobile thermo vision complex, perimeter protection systems and thermal imaging cameras, which will enable to exchange of information and efficiently fight against of cross-border crime; - Overall objective implementation in its turn will facilitate legalization of small enterprises business activities and foster legal cross-border trade through the BCPs. - Implementation of effective monitoring of the state border will provide the Border Protection Units with a timely information about attempts of illegal movement of people and

Expected Results (EN): Increased efficiency of border clearance (baseline value - 349; target value - 510)

Expected Outputs (EN):

Increased throughput capacity of persons on land border crossing points (ENI/CBC 38) - 31000. Number of initiatives aimed to increase transparency and efficiency of customs and clearance procedures - 1. Number of organised trainings/exchange programmes for border and customs services’ personnel - 2.
