ICaRE4Farms (I4F) zielt darauf ab, die Nutzung von Solarthermie (ST) in der Landwirtschaft (LW) in NWE zu fördern, die THG-Emissionen zu verringern und den Anteil erneuerbarer Energien (EE) zu steigern, um den Übergang zu einer CO2-armen Wirtschaft zu fördern und das EU 2030 Ziel von 27% Anteil EE zu erreichen. ST, als erschwingliche EE zum Erhitzen von Wasser, besitzt ein enormes Potential, fossile Brennstoffe zu ersetzen. Dennoch wird in NWE nur 1,1% des Gesamtenergieverbrauchs und 0,25% des Energieverbrauchs in der LW hierdurch bereitgestellt, da die derzeitigen Systeme bei geringer Sonneneinstrahlung einen geringen Wirkungsgrad aufweisen. Im Rahmen der transnationalen Zusammenarbeit wird I4F ST-Systeme der nächsten Generation in 4 LW-Sektoren testen, in denen heißes Wasser zur Versorgung von Nutztieren und zur Beheizung von landwirtschaftlichen Gebäuden und Gewächshäusern benötigt wird. Die von I4F getestete Technologie ist bis zu 3x uverlässig. Es ermöglicht eine Reduzierung der TGE bei der Warmwasserbereitung um 70%. Die Partner werden vier Pilotstandorte installieren und überwachen, um die Technologie umzusetzen. 17 weitere Installationen von TZE-Systemen werden unterstützt, die Wirtschaftlichkeit prüfen und THG-Kürzungen validieren. 17 weitere Installationen von TZE-Systemen werden unterstützt, Das Ergebnis der Überwachung wird in ein Machbarkeitstool und in ein digitales Modell des ST-Systems eingespeist, inklusive einer Software für die Landwirte. Die Partner werden ein transnationales Netzwerk von Vertreibern und Installateuren aufbauen, um ST in NWE einzuführen und marktfähig zu machen. Es wird erwartet, dass in 10 J fast 1.000 ST-Systeme in NWE in Betrieb sind (10 neue Standorte/J in den ersten 5 J und 20 in den nächsten 5 J), wodurch 92 kt CO2/Jahr eingespart werden, was 1,4% der CO2-Emissionen der LW in NWE im Jahr 2016 entspricht und 200 neue Arbeitsplätze geschaffen werden.

Description (EN):

ICaRE4Farms (I4F) intends to boost the use of solar thermal energy (STE) in farming in NWE, to contribute to reduce GHG emissions and increase the share of renewable energies, to help the transition to a low-carbon economy and meet the EU 2030 goal of 27% share for RE. STE is an affordable RE to heat water and has a huge potential to replace fossil energies. However, in the NWE region it only provides 1.1% of total energy consumption and 0.25% of that in agriculture, due to low efficiency of current systems in areas with low solar irradiance. Through transnational cooperation, I4F will test next generation STE systems in 4 agricultural sectors that require hot water to feed livestock (calves) and heat farm buildings (poultry, pigs) and greenhouses (horticulture). The technology that I4F will test is up to 3 times more efficient than traditional STE systems (900 vs. 350kWh/m²). It has shown to be reliable, affordable, easy to install and long lifetime (40 years) with low maintenance requirements. It allows a 70% reduction of GHG emitted for water heating. The partners will share good practices and implement the solution taking into account the features of each region and sector, will install and monitor 4 pilot sites to test and demonstrate the technology, and will support the deployment of other 17 flagship STE systems to improve the economic model and validate the GHG cuts. The outcome of the monitoring will be fed into a feasibility assessment tool and digital model of the STE system, including a software for the farmers to manage the system. The project partners will build a transnational network of distributors and installers to roll-out STE in NWE, to lead the market uptake. In 10 years, it is expected that nearly 1,000 STE systems will be operational in NWE (10 new sites per year in the first 5 years and 20 in the next 5), saving 92 ktCO2 per year, equivalent to 1,4% of CO2 emissions in agriculture in NWE in 2016 and generate 200 new jobs.

ICaRE4Farms (I4F) encourage l'utilisation de l'énergie solaire thermique (EST) dans l'agriculture de l'ENO, contribue à réduire les émissions de GES et à augmenter la part des ER, à encourager la transition vers une économie bas-carbone pour atteindre l'objectif de l'UE de 27% d’ER à l'horizon 2030. L’EST est une ER abordable pour chauffer l'eau et a un fort potentiel pour remplacer les énergies fossiles, mais dans l’ENO, elle ne fournit que 1,1% de la consommation totale d'énergie et 0,25% de celle de l'agriculture, car la technologie actuelle est peu efficace là où le rayonnement solaire est faible. Grâce à la coopération transnationale, I4F testera des systèmes d’EST nouvelle génération dans 4 secteurs agricoles nécessitant de l’eau chaude pour nourrir le bétail (veaux), chauffer les bâtiments agricoles (volaille, porcs) et les serres (horticulture). La technologie testée par I4F est jusqu'à 3 fois plus efficace que les systèmes EST traditionnels (900 vs 350 kWh / m²). Elle est fiable, abordable, facile à installer, d’une longue durée de vie (40 ans), avec peu de maintenance et permet une réduction de 70% des GES émis pour chauffer l'eau. Les partenaires vont partager des bonnes pratiques, installer et surveiller 4 sites pilotes pour tester et démontrer la technologie et déployer 17 autres systèmes afin d'améliorer le modèle économique et valider les réductions de GES. Les résultats du monitoring seront intégrés à un outil d'évaluation de la faisabilité et au modèle numérique du système EST, dont une interface permettant aux agriculteurs de gérer le système. I4F bâtira un réseau transnational de distributeurs et d’installateurs pour déployer l’EST dans l’ENO. En 10 ans, près de 1 000 systèmes EST seront opérationnels dans l'ENO (10 nvx sites/an au cours des 5 1ères années et 20 pour les 5 suivantes) pour économiser 92ktCO2/an, soit 1,4% de CO2 en 2016 en agriculture et générer 200 nvx emplois.

Expected Outputs (EN): 2016 emissions in agriculture in NWE: 232 mtons GHG (10% of emis. in NWE, 54% of EU emis. in agriculture); 6.8 mtons CO2 ( 0.4% of CO2 emis. in NWE, 63.7% of EU CO2 emis. in agriculture). STE provides just 0.25% of energy consumption in agriculture in NWE.
