Description (EN):

ICTUSnet aims to improve the quality of stroke healthcare, by promoting collaboration in R+D+i, fostering mutual learning and promoting innovation in stroke care strategies in the Southwest regions of EU. The means to achieve this will be the incorporation of new technologies for data analysis and the creation of a permanent network to provide all actors involved in the stroke healthcare chain, with the opportunity to share information, lessons learned and good practices. ICTUSnet will be developed by a consortium of 10 partners, gathering together healthcare and research institutions from public and private domain and coordinated by the Agency for Health Quality and Assessment of Catalonia (AQuAS). The consortium represents 6 regions of the Southwest of Europe (Aragon, Baleares, Catalonia, Navarra, Occitania and North of Portugal), covering a population of ca. 20 M people.

Expected Results (EN):

The main results are: - The creation of a permanent transnational excellence network in research and innovation in the field of stroke care, whose mission is to improve knowledge on stroke and quality and effectiveness of patient care (result indicator 1b_11 of the SUDOE program) - The identification and exploitation of synergies between medicine, ICTs and computer Sciences - The creation of a virtual platform accessible to all the stakeholders involved and open to other regions that want to adhere - The exchange of good practices and the implementation of improvements in current comprehensive stroke care plans.

Expected Outputs (EN): 1. Specific records integrated into regional information systems. 2. Shared evaluation framework to measure quality, equity and efficiency of comprehensive stroke care. 3. Action Plan aimed at the agents involved in stroke care. 4. ICTUSnet integral platform.
