Description (EN):

The project aims at territorial safety, to protect it from gravitational and flooding hazards. The Cadegliano-Viconago landslide has been active since 2000 with several debris flows which caused even prolonged closures, SP 61 interruptions and which affected the bed of the Tresa river (Italian-Swiss border). Investigations revealed such a deep movement that its complete stabilization isn't possible, and that needs continuous monitoring and policies to contain its effects. The specific objectives of the project are: - Reduction of the landslide collapse risk and of the related impact; - Monitoring of the phenomena and definition of a cross-border operational protocol in the event of a crisis (alternative roads are in Switzerland). - Construction of two ramps in blocks to reduce the erosive capacity (over 2 m lowering of the bottom in the last 15 years). - Partial restoration of the shore defense section on the left side of the intervention carried out after the 2002 event (inhabited area of Cremenaga).

Il progetto mira alla sicurezza del territorio, con l’obiettivo di proteggerlo dai pericoli gravitativi e d’inondazione. La frana Cadegliano-Viconago è attiva dal 2000 con diverse colate detritiche che hanno causato chiusure anche prolungate, interruzioni della SP 61 ed interessato l'alveo del fiume Tresa (confine italo-svizzero). Le indagini hanno evidenziato un movimento profondo tale da impedire una sua completa stabilizzazione, che necessita di un continuo monitoraggio e di politiche di contenimento degli effetti. Gli specifici obiettivi del progetto interessano: - Riduzione del rischio di accadimento del crollo della frana e dell'impatto. - Monitoraggio dei fenomeni e la definizione di un protocollo operativo transfrontaliero in caso di crisi (la viabilità alternativa è in suolo svizzero). - Costruzione di due rampe in blocchi per ridurre la capacità erosiva (abbassamento del fondo superiore a 2 m negli ultimi 15 anni); - Parziale ripristino tratto di difesa di sponda in sx di intervento realizzato post evento 2002 (Abitato di Cremenaga).

Achievements (EN):

Some projects have invested in developing strategies, models and pilot actions to raise awareness among local communities about environmental issues of direct involvement, such as risk prevention. River TRESA has carried out safety measures to stabilise the bottom of the river Tresa river and monitor the landslide of Cadegliano Viconago, dating back to the 2000s. The project allowed the reduction of the risk of specific landslides and implemented shared intervention strategies to reduce possible impacts on mobility between Italy and Switzerland.

Expected Results (IT):

Gestione e monitoraggio della frana. rilievo Laserscan del corpo di frana e campagne successive (3 campagne, una all’anno), trattamento dei dati e messa a disposizione del modello numerico del terreno: - Aggiornamento del modello geologico e geomorfologico della frana; - Modellazione numerica della frana e ridefinizione degli scenari di rischio; - Allestimento e calibrazione modello di espandimento, stima delle aree di invasione e valutazione dei possibili effetti sulla Tresa; - Individuazione procedure di monitoraggio e intervento; - Progettazione ed allestimento banca dati; - Collaborazione alla progettazione del sistema di allarme; - Mantenimento e gestione della banca dati e del sistema d’allarme (costo annuo/totale 5 anni); - Definizione delle soglie di innesco/allarme della frana; - Allestimento di un rapporto di sintesi delle attività svolte. - Il monitoraggio continuerà oltre il termine dei 36 mesi sulla base dell’accordo di programma del 18.07.2005 Messa in sicurezza della tratta e contenimento dell'effetto erosivo del fiume Tresa. Aumento del livello della falda freatica.

Expected Outputs (IT):

Le attività previste sono le seguenti: - Aggiornamento studio geologico, geomorfologico. - Ricostruzione ultimi eventi. - Progettazione e DL nuove strutture di controllo. - Esecuzione delle opere di monitoraggio. - Progettazione e installazione del sistema di trasmissione dei dati di monitoraggio. - Progetto di sistemazione fluviale. - Realizzazione della rampa in blocchi (soglia di fondo).
