The terraced landscape is a distinctive feature of the cross-border territory, often located in areas of great environmental value (protected areas, Natura 2000 sites, UNESCO territories); however, numerous peripheral terraced landscapes undergo abandonment processes, with loss of environmental, cultural and identity values. The InTERRACED-NET project aims to recover and enhance the terraced landscape of the cross-border mountain and hill areas in Lombardy, Graubunden, Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta, creating shared management models, an integrated training and knowledge transfer system, pilot tourist itineraries through emblematic sites.

Il paesaggio terrazzato è un carattere distintivo del territorio transfrontaliero, spesso localizzato in aree di grande valenza ambientale (aree protette, siti Natura 2000, territori UNESCO); tuttavia, numerosi paesaggi terrazzati periferici subiscono processi di abbandono, con perdita di valori ambientali, culturali e identitari. Il progetto InTERRACED-NET intende recuperare e valorizzare il paesaggio terrazzato delle aree montane e collinari transfrontaliere in Lombardia, Grigioni, Piemonte e Valle d'Aosta, realizzando modelli gestionali condivisi, un sistema integrato di formazione e trasferimento delle conoscenze, itinerari turistici pilota tra siti emblematici.

The terraced landscape, for example, is a distinctive character of the cross-border territory, but often suffers abandonment processes: the INTERRACED project proposed a recovery strategy through an integrated system of training and knowledge transfer, involving local communities. Preserving and making known the identity of places and people is the key to not losing what the past has left and what the future can reveal.

Expected Results (IT):

Gli effetti dell'attività del WP sono destinati ai target della SFERA PUBBLICA, che raccoglie i partner e le pubbliche amministrazioni dei territori d'influenza del progetto. Il WP contribuisce in maniera fondamentale alla costruzione del successivo WP 4, che produce un output di progetto. Attraverso le attività del WP3 si generano i seguenti benefici tangibili: maggiore capacità d'analisi e di caratterizzazione dei territori grazie al lavoro condiviso e alle esperienze tematiche dei partner; migliore caratterizzazione dei territori; aumentata possibilità di individuazione di soluzioni efficaci; accrescimento di competenze interne alla partnership. Beneficiano direttamente degli effetti: 9 partner di progetto (7 Enti/Strutture con competenze territoriali, 2 Enti/Strutture di ricerca a partecipazione pubblica). Beneficiano indirettamente degli effetti: Pubbliche Amministrazioni del territorio rappresentato (3 regioni, 1 cantone, 5 province, 222 comuni). Gli effetti individuati influenza prevalentemente i target group della SFERA PUBBLICA: Organismi pubblici (Comuni, Province, Comunità Montane, Enti Parco) e loro aggregazioni (Consorzi, Fondazioni etc.), anche di diritto privato. Maggiore efficacia, migliore coordinamento, potenziamento della capacità di programmazione e d’azione per la valorizzazione integrata del paesaggio terrazzato transfrontaliero. Piano d'Azione adottato ed efficace nei territori di competenza dei 9 partner (Brianza Lecchese, Lario Intelvese, Valle d’Aosta, Valtellina, Valle Ossola, Val Poschiavo, Mesolcina) e nei settori strategici di competenza (pianificazione, gestione e tutela del territorio e delle aree protette, formazione, ricerca e sviluppo). Alta trasferibilità alle pubbliche amministrazioni locali del territorio rappresentato (3 regioni, 1 cantone, 5 province, oltre 150 comuni) e ai territori esterni. Gli effetti sono destinati principalmente ai target group individuati dalla SFERA SOCIETA' CIVILE (turisti e fruitori, popolazione reisdente). Maggiore attrattività del paesaggio terrazzato transfrontaliero attraverso la costituzione di una rete fisica di luoghi emblematici e di 4 itinerari transfrontalieri. Migliore valorizzazione dell’immagine internazionale del contesto Maggiori possibilità di fruizione e conoscenza dei luoghi attraverso supporti fruitivi/conoscitivi e “pacchetti” turistici innovativi. 20 iniziative pilota attivate quale “innesco” del nuovo approccio turistico; almeno 3500 visitatori e 2000 studenti coinvolti nel periodo di sviluppo del progetto, circa 200.000 residenti dei territori beneficeranno di nuove e attrattive soluzioni per un turismo di prossimità. Gli effetti sono destinati, in maniera trasversale, ai target group della SFERA PUBBLICA (Organismi ed Enti Pubblici, Autorità Locali), della SFERA PRIVATA (operatori turistici, imprese e artigiani edili, aziendagricole/ricettive/agriturismi, guide e accompagnatori, cooperative, gestori di centri visita e strutture museali etc.), della SFERA SOCIETA' CIVILE (popolazione residente, proprietari/conduttori di fondi e terreni). I risultati saranno legati a: miglioramento e accrescimento di competenze gestionali, culturali e imprenditoriali negli ambiti della conservazione del paesaggio, della valorizzazione dei saperi tradizionali, delle costruzione di filiere integrate e innovative e del turismo sostenibile. Accresciute preparazioni e opportunità per almeno 75 funzionari e amministratori, 100 operatori turistico/ambientali, 65 imprese e artigiani, 150 cittadini/residenti.
