Description (EN):

Low level of competitiveness and generally unfavourable business environment, in comparison to EU countries is a problem present in Croatia and Serbia. The shortage of skilled workers and lack of relevant competences in products design, export management, financial management, marketing, is the problem that has implications on the competitiveness of enterprises, which export semi-products and low added-value products. Project aims to address this challenge by improving the access to relevant competences in programme area through improvement of relevant infrastructure and services, training programs for unemployed and companies and establishing transnational networking model, thus raising the overall competence levels and opportunities of the labour force and SMEs. Therefore the main objective of the project is: to contribute to development of institutional infrastructure, services and networks in providing access to appropriate competences to businesses in order to enhance competitiveness and business environment in the cross border area. This will be done through main project outputs: 1. Established 1 cross-border network on enhancing favorable business environment. 2. Created 2 curricula for the needs of SMEs. 3. Established 3 functional training facilities for needs of MSMEs sector. 4. Educated 45 persons in cross border area in business-related competences. 5. 10 companies and 10 persons participated in Mentoring Programme. 6. 10 companies and 5 research instiutions participated in Smart Cooperation Programme. Target groups include: export-oriented SMEs, unemployed young people, business support and research institutions, local self-governments. Project cross-border value is in joint sharing of access to competences among all SMEs of project territory, by using webinars, transnational network of all stakeholders, cooperation with academia, thus creating more favorable business environment.

Achievements (EN):

Competence centres opened in Ilok and Bač within project FED CCNET: As part of the FED CCNET project, City of Ilok and Municipality of Bač renovated and adapted two buildings to serve as Competence centres, in order to enhance competitiveness and business environment in the cross-border area. The Competence centre in the City of Ilok, which is established for the specific connection of agriculture and tourism, was ceremoniously opened on 30 June 2021. The participants were greeted by several officials from local and regional authorities from both countries, and after the presentation of the project guests had the opportunity to tour the premises of the Competence center. The Center of Business Competences in Bač was ceremoniously opened on 2 July 2021. With the reconstruction and adaptation of the building, the institutional infrastructure, services and cross-border network have been significantly improved in providing access to appropriate competencies. The ceremony was also attended by the representatives of the local authorities, who emphasized the importance of interregional networking and the development of institutional infrastructure. Low level of competitiveness and generally unfavourable business environment in Croatia-Serbia cross-border area, in comparison to EU countries, is a problem that project FED CC NET aims to address by developing infrastructure, services and networks for enterprises and consequently create more favourable business environment in the Programme area. Opening ceremony for newly founded Competence centre in Municipality of Lovas: As part of the project, Municipality of Lovas reconstructed ruined building and transformed it into a Competence center, equipped with modern hardware and software, empowered to provide mentoring programs and networking for entrepreneurs. The Competence centre in Lovas was ceremonially opened on 25 September 2020. The opening ceremony was held in accordance with COVID -19 epidemiologic measures and was attended by several officials from local and regional authorities. One of the first activities in the Center will be trainings for entrepreneurs, followed by mentoring programs in order to connect and exchange knowledge and experiences in this area.

Expected Results (EN): Range of custer activities enhancing innovation, new technologies and ICT solutions.

Expected Outputs (EN):

The main project results are: 1. Developed three transnational business competence centres for MSMEs in Vukovar-Srijem county and Vojvodina. 2. Improved business-related competences of unemployed young persons through training and practical mentoring programs. 3. Raised knowledge of MSMEs on introducing new technologies,and innovative solutions in business operations through Smart cooperation program. 4. Developed cross border partnership model of public, private and research sector for access to and exchange of competences, experiences and know-how for favorable business environment. By connecting three business competence centres by using one joint development strategy document, by providing training programs with the aid of ICTs (web platform, webinars), by implementing mentoring and cooperation programs that provide small enterprises with innovative approach to business, and enabling all this through a cluster activity of establishing a Cross-Border Network of Favorable Busines Environment these results contribute directly to programme result indicator. The main focus of the project is to use ICT tools whenever and wherever possible. Project demonstrate that through cooperation of (BCCs) through a web joint platform, trainings will be accessed online through webinars, and network mebers will be encouraged to communicate through a web forum and web conferences as well.
