Description (EN):

TThe project is located in Poland, in the province of Western Carpathians in the eastern part of the Low Beskids and in Ukraine in the part of the Eastern Carpathians - Czyzczyńsko-Hryniawskie Mountains. On the Polish side, the project is located in the Natura 2000 area and runs through two reserves (Kamień, Źródliska Jasiołki). It includes basin of one of the cleanest mountain rivers of Podkarpacie: Jasiołka and Wisłok. On the Ukrainian side, the project is located in the area in the Czywczyny and Hryniawy Mountains in the area covered by legal protection by Verkhovynski National Park. Both areas, due to their natural richness, can be a unique tourist attraction, but they do not attract a lot of tourists due to the poorly developed tourist offer, a very small number of organized tourist events based on local natural values. There are no events promoting biodiversity in the area of the project implementation both on the Polish and Ukrainian side. The overall objective is to get promoted natural wealth of the Low Beskids and the Czywczyńsko-Hryniawskie Mountains as a unique tourist attraction and the opportunity to explore the biodiversity of the Carpathians. The target groups of the project are participants of events organized as part of the project, i.e. horse rallies and study visits: journalists from the tourist industry, representatives of tour operators, employees of nature protection institutions. The final beneficiaries of the project are: - tourists who will benefit from the offer created thanks to the implementation of the project in Poland and Ukraine; - inhabitants of the project implementation areas; - entrepreneurs conducting activities related to tourism in the area of project implementation. The anticipated actions fall into the Programme strategy aiming to promote and preserve natural heritage of the Beskid Niski, Czywczyny and Hryniawy.

Expected Results (EN): Increased number of visitors of the natural heritage sites (baseline value - 8000; target value - 18000)

Expected Outputs (EN):

Number of cross-border events organized using Programme support - 3. Number of persons participating in actions and awareness raising activities promoting preservation of natural heritage - 60. Number of promoted and/or preserved natural sites as direct consequence of Programme support - 2. Number of publications on natural heritage of the region - 2.
