Description (EN):

The Project focuses on building of capacity of local actors for cross-border nature educational tourism and crosspresentation of them over partners regions and countries. PL nature reservation areas successfully accumulate modern educational experience involving nature reserves. BY and UA rural areas are in economic difficulties, own unique nature potential concentrated in nature reserves, but don’t use it for tourism. South-east BY with Dnepr river, Chernobyl area is interesting for specialists and students but is unknown for tourist from PL. While PL area is unknown for south-east BY. The same is with UA. The overall objective: to exchange experience and consolidate efforts of actors in BY-PL-UA for promotion of cross-border education tourism in regions with unique nature reserves. The Project: -builds capacity of BY and UA participants by transfer of PL experience -creates cross-border cooperation for nature education tourism in PL,BY,UA -arranges cross-presentation of tourist capacity of participated areas with nature reserves for public in PL,BY,UA -opens ‘terra incognito’ of south-east BY to tourist market of PL and UA Target groups: national reserves and their specialists, education, tourist and civil society actors dealing with edutainment. Final beneficiaries: tourists, local schools and communities. Main activities: uniting of ≥4 nature reserves and ≥20 educational, tourist and public actors in cooperation network, international conference on edutainment experience exchange, workshop on promotion campaign training, plain-airs for production of new style attractive images, pilot edutainment tours, mutual promotion campaigns in Poland and Belarus. Project partners develop a special strategy for promotion and preservation of nature heritage via nature education tourism. It is a careful way to present a nature treasure to a wide tourist public with special focus on teachers, students, specialists, amateurs of nature, other interested and concerned touristic groups.

Expected Results (EN): Increased number of visitors of the natural heritage sites (baseline value - 150000; target value - 160000)

Number of promoted and/or preserved natural sites as direct consequence of Programme support - 3. Number of publications on natural heritage of the region - 7. Number of trainings for staff responsible for the natural heritage management - 3.
