Description (EN):

The fundamental objective of MARGULLAR is to preserve the valuable underwater natural and cultural heritage in our space of cooperation where there are archaeological vestiges of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries that the entities participating in the project want to recover, preserve and place in value for the enjoyment of the population. With MARGULLAR2 it is intended to: 1) Create a Network of Underwater Archaeological Parks in the MAC Cooperation Area, 2) Develop sustainable and innovative archaeo-tourism products with an integral management/protection of the sites and 3) Innovation in the awareness and dissemination of Atlantic cultural heritage. MARGULLAR2 will be attended by the UNESCO Regional Office to further improve actions in Senegal and Cape Verde on the protection and enhancement of Underwater Heritage.

El objetivo fundamental de MARGULLAR es conservar el valioso patrimonio natural y cultural subacuático en nuestro espacio de cooperación donde hay vestigios arqueológicos de los siglos XVI y XVII que las entidades participantes en el proyecto desean recuperar, preservar y poner en valor para el disfrute de la población. Con MARGULLAR2 se pretende: 1) Crear una Red de Parques Arqueológicos Subacuáticos en el Espacio de Cooperación MAC, 2) Desarrollar productos arqueo-turísticos sostenibles e innovadores con una gestión/protección integral de los yacimientos y 3) Innovación en la sensibilización y difusión del patrimonio cultural atlántico. MARGULLAR2 contará con la participación de la Oficina Regional de la UNESCO, para seguir mejorando las acciones en Senegal y Cabo Verde en materia de protección y valorización del Patrimonio Subacuático.
