Description (EN):

AEDENET is a project of collaboration and cooperation between administrations and public health support institutes of the Canary Islands and Cape Verde with the aim of improving the effectiveness and results of this public health policy vis-à-vis its citizens. For this, joint collaboration and coordination agreements are established, protocols of action tested in the territory, both Canarian and Cape Verdean are established, training is carried out among professionals and tools and actions of dissemination and awareness are carried out between them and the general population. All within the framework of the fight against the introduction and spread of vector-borne tropical diseases (mainly mosquitoes). Finally, it is expected to achieve a safer and stronger Macaronesian region in the face of this threat that will undoubtedly be greater in the coming years with climate change and the globalisation of transports and movements of people and goods.

AEDENET es un proyecto de colaboración y cooperación entre administraciones e institutos de apoyo de Salud Pública de Canarias y Cabo Verde con el objetivo de mejorar la eficacia y los resultados de dicha política de salud pública frente a sus ciudadanos. Para ello se establecen acuerdos de colaboración y coordinación conjuntos, se establecen protocolos de actuación testedados en el territorio, tanto canario como caboverdiano, se realizan formaciones entre los profesionales y se realizan herramientas y actuaciones de difusión y sensibilización entre ellos y la población en general. Todo dentro del marco de la lucha frente a la introducción y propagación de las enfermedades tropicales transmitidas por vectores (principalmente mosquitos). Finalmente se espera conseguir una región macaronésica más segura y fortalecida frente a esta amenaza que sin duda será mayor en los próximos años con el cambio climático y la globalización de los transportes y movimientos de personas y mercancías.
