Description (EN):

ForManRisk provides solutions to work on the regeneration of forests in southwestern Europe. For this purpose, the project develops trainings and exchanges of knowledge as well as management tools. The project will focus on forests and pilot areas to test those regeneration and risks management techniques, raise awareness of territorial actors and favor new management ways. Therefore, ForManRisk will enable: The improvement of sustainable management techniques for pines forests in the Sudoe’s area; To develop management instruments for forests to improve fires prevention and optimize the coordination and efficiency of operations: To communicate in order to raise awareness and imply institutional actors and civil population on natural risks.

Expected Results (EN):

- Exchanging and sharing knowledge and know-how. - Improving the coordination and efficiency of prevention’s instruments and risk management with the implementation of a modular system which includes (i) the vulnerability and quantification’s impact analysis, (ii) preventive and repairer’s measures and (iii) action plans and reinforced surveillance’s protocols. - Adapting the management and initiating forests’restauration. - Communicating, promoting and implementing tools, protocols, recommendations, etc. in a coordinated way to train practitioners in the fields of fires’ prevention and risks management. - Raising awareness of political stakeholders and civil society on natural risks, involving them in the application of solutions.

Expected Outputs (EN): Drafting of transnational good practices guidelines. Set of advices for a better consideration of fires risks in reforestation.
