Description (EN):

The aim of the project is to build an expert system for predicting the energy behaviour of hospital buildings in Mediterranean environments that improves the efficiency of their management, reduces the operating costs and complaints of professionals and users and results in the profitability of the public investment contributed to their construction and use. It is therefore a question of designing, validating and implementing energy efficiency models that propose new management models for energy and water consumption and the use of new materials for the renovation of buildings, with the aim of saving energy and reducing emissions in this type of public building.

Expected Results (EN):

1) The planning of the execution of the project implies the realization of a pilot action, developed in the three hospital buildings that the partners contribute for it. The diversity sought in the three pilot buildings makes it possible to obtain transverse results and make the management systems derived from the project can have a universal scope for any building with high energy and water consumption such as a hospital. 2) The project develops two hospital building management tools. One for the real-time management of energy and water consumption and another to plan the renovation of the building of efficient consumption and almost zero emissions. 3) The project culminates with three training actions aimed at the technical staff of the pilot hospitals for the implementation and use of the management systems designed; three dissemination and promotion actions for these new management systems aimed at professionals and companies linked to the sectors directly involved in the renovation of hospital buildings and a general dissemination action aimed at public and private entities responsible for the management of hospital buildings in which the results achieved and the advantages provided by the management tools designed will be presented.
