Description (EN):

The main objective of the VINIoT project is the creation of a new technological vineyard monitoring service. This service allows the wine sector to monitor its plantations in real time, at distance and with different levels of precision (grape, plant, plot and vineyard). It monitors relevant parameters in viticulture such as water status, grape ripening status or the existence of pests (phytosanitary status). It provides alerts that keep vineyard technicians informed of incident's occurrence, allowing an early correction and thereby, reducing grape production costs, increasing harvest volume and improving wine quality. Thus, the resilience of SMEs dedicated to the sector within the SUDOE region is strengthened as they can improve their capacities and productivity. This service merges into a single solution the two main technologies currently used independently in vineyard monitoring: multispectral imaging and terrain sensing. This allows to take advantage of the strengths and supply the weaknesses, combining an Internet of Things (IoT) architecture that allows the fusion of the relevant information to make a better estimate of the relevant parameters for vineyards.

El objetivo principal del proyecto VINIoT es la creación de un nuevo servicio tecnológico de monitorización de viñedos. Este servicio permite al sector vitivinícola monitorizar sus plantaciones en tiempo real, a distancia y con diferentes niveles de precisión (uva, planta, parcela y viñedo). Realiza la monitorización de parámetros relevantes en viticultura como el estado hídrico, el estado de maduración de la uva o la existencia de plagas (estado fitosanitario), proporcionando un sistema de alertas que permite mantener informados a los técnicos de la bodega de la aparición de incidencias, permitiendo realizar una corrección temprana de las mismas, consiguiendo con ello reducir los costes de producción de uva, aumentar el volumen de la cosecha y mejorar la calidad del vino resultante. De esta forma, se fortalece la resiliencia de las PYMES dedicadas al sector dentro de la región SUDOE, sector mejorando sus capacidades tecnológicas y su productividad. Este servicio fusionará en una misma solución las dos tecnologías principales que se utilizan actualmente, de forma independiente, en la monitorización de viñedos: la imagen multiespectral y la sensorización del terreno. Esto permitirá aprovechar las fortalezas y suplir las debilidades de cada una de ellas, combinándolas a partir de una arquitectura Internet of Things (IoT) que permita fusionar la información relevante para hacer una mejor estimación de los parámetros de importancia para el viñedo.
