Description (EN): The „FUTURE IN HEMP – Manufacturing development based on the processing of hemp fibre” project is implemented by D§D Group Invest s.r.o. a small sewing business operating in Slovakia and the Érmellék Centrum Nonprofit Kft situated in Hungary. Common challenges of the area are low business activity, few jobs, high unemployment, youth migration, aging and deep poverty. The global aim of the project is the sustainable exploitation of local natural and human resources, production and sale of high va lue-added products and creation of new jobs for the local population. In the wake of the project 10 new jobs will be created and unemployment will decrease. Business activity will improve and local industry tax will grow. Project partners wish to ac hieve this goal by renewing, restructuring and modernizing the traditionally typical of the region hemp industry. In the course of the project the processing plant to be set up at Beregdaróc will manufacture tea from the leaved shoots, long and shor t industrial fibre from the bast and bedding for small animals from the shivs part of the stalk. Long and short fibre will be spinned into yarn of which hemp linen will be woven to be used for sewing table cloth and other decorative objects. Thanks f or the project there will be 8 new working places created in Beregdaróc. On the Slovakian side of the border D§D Group Invest in Kosice will relocate its production line into a refurbished building and turn out various household linens and clothing m ade of the linen produced in Beregdaróc selling it through their webshop and creating 2 new working places. The project, therefore, will result in producing high added value products innovatively and using state of the art methods on the basis of lo cal resources. In addition to job creation a further benefit will be that raw material produced and processed on one side of the border will be utilised on the other side of the border strengthening business relations between the two countries.

A térség közös kihívásai az alacsony vállalkozói aktivitás, a kevés munkalehetőség, a magas munkanélküliség, a fiatalok elvándorlása, az elöregedés, a mélyszegénység. A projekt átfogó célja a helyi természeti és humán erőforrások fenntartható hasznosítása, a magas hozzáadott értékű termékek előállítása és értékesítése, új munkahelyek teremtése a helyi lakosok számára.
A projekt hatására 10 új munkahely jön létre, így csökkenni fog a munkanélküliség. Növekedni fog a vállalkozási aktivitás és emelkedni fog a helyi iparűzési adóbevétel. A projektpartnerek a fenti célokat a térségre tradicionálisan jellemző kenderipar újjáélesztése és korszerű újjászervezése révén kívánják elérni. A Beregdarócon kialakítandó feldolgozó üzemben a leveles hajtásvégből teát, a kenderkóró háncs részéből hosszú és rövidrostot, a farészből pedig kisállat almot fognak előállítani. A rostból fonal készül, amiből kendervásznat fognak szőni, a vászonból pedig helyi mintákkal kivarrott terítők és más használati tárgyak fognak készülni. A projektnek köszönhetően Beregdarócon 8 helyi ember számára fognak új munkalehetőséget teremteni.
A határ szlovákiai oldalán a D § D Group Invest s.r.o. Kassán egy felújított épületbe fogja a varrodáját áthelyezni és a beregdaróci vászonból itt különböző exkluzív háztartási textíliákat és ruhaneműt készítenek majd, amit saját internetes webshopon keresztül fognak értékesíteni. A varrodában 2 új munkahely fog létrejönni. A projekt tehát helyi erőforrásra alapozva modern, innovatív eljárással magas hozzáadott értékű termékeket fog eredményezni. A munkahelyteremtés mellett előnye lesz, hogy a határ egyik oldalán előállított alapanyagot a határ másik oldalán fogják felhasználni, ami erősíteni fogja a két ország közötti gazdasági kapcsolatokat.
Read more Description (SK): Projekt “FUTURE IN HEMP – Manufacturing development based on the processing of hemp fiber" realizuje spoločnosť D§D GROUP INVEST s.r.o., malá šijacia firma pôsobiaca na Slovensku a spoločnosť Érmellék Centrum Nonprofit Kft so sídlom v Maďarsku. Spoločné výzvy v tejto oblasti majú nízku podnikateľskú aktivitu, málo pracovných miest, vysoká nezamestnanosť, migrácia mládeže, starnutie a hlboká chudoba.
Globálnym cieľom projektu je udržateľné využívanie miestnych prírodných a ľudských zdrojov, výroba a predaj výrobkov s vysokou pridanou hodnotou a vytváranie nových pracovných miest pre miestne obyvateľstvo. Po projekte sa vytvorí 10 nových pracovných miest a nezamestnanosť klesne. Podnikateľská činnosť sa zlepší a tým sa zvýši miestna daň z priemyslu. Partneri projektu chcú tento cieľ dosiahnuť obnovením, reštrukturalizáciou a modernizáciou tradične typického priemyslu konopného regiónu. V priebehu projektu bude spracovateľský závod na Beregdaróc vyrábať čaj z listnatých výhonkov, dlhé a krátke priemyselné vlákno z lyka a podstielky pre malé zvieratá z drevenej časti stonky. Dlhé a krátke vlákno bude previnuté do priadze, z ktorej bude tkané konopné plátna určené na šitie obrusov a iných ozdobných predmetov. Vďaka projektu sa v Beregdarócu vytvorí 8 nových pracovných miest. Slovenská firma D§D GROUP INVEST s.r.o. premiestni svoju výrobnú prevádzku do zrekonštruovanej budovy. Z kvalitného ľanového plátna vyrobeného v spracovateľskom závode Beregdaróc, bude D§D GROUP INVEST s.r.o. šiť exkluzívne odevy, výrobky pre domácnosť a bude ich predávať prostredníctvom internetového obchodu. V krajčírskej
dielni sa vytvoria 2 nové pracovné miesta. Výsledkom projektu bude preto inovatívna výroba produktov s vysokou pridanou hodnotou a využívanie najnovších metód na základe miestnych zdrojov. Okrem vytvárania pracovných miest bude ďalšou výhodou to, že surovina vyrobená na jednej strane hranice sa využije na druhej strane hranice, čo posilní obchodné vzťahy medzi oboma krajinami.
Read more Achievements (EN): The project was implemented by Érmellék Centrum Community Nonprofit Ltd. from Hungary and D § D Group Invest s.r.o., a small company in the warehouse industry from Slovakia.
The investment project is part of an action plan aimed at reducing unemployment and creating new jobs in the north-eastern region of the Hungarian-Slovak border region. The action plan also aimed at developing the local economy. The basic resource of the cooperation is industrial hemp, a crop with a long tradition which can be grown efficiently and in accordance with ecological principles. Industrial hemp is modern, competitive, in growing demand and has a wide range of uses in many industries, such as food, cosmetics, textiles, construction and health.
A 750 m2 factory hall was built in Barabás, where machines for processing industrial hemp chaff were installed. Once operational, the machines will be able to produce hemp fibre and industrial hemp-based building materials. The production plant will provide jobs for 8 people.
Located in the industrial district of the city of Kassa, the 4-storey building will house a complete sewing factory after a complete reconstruction. The workshop produces household textiles, bed linen and curtains. The plant will employ 4 people.

Expected Results (EN): The action plan targets the exploitation of the endogenous potentials of the region, namely the traditions and knowledge on hemp growing and processing. The introduction of the industrial sector of the future within the region should remarkably improve the attractiveness of the area and create new sources of incomes, which will improve the living conditions and the population retaining capacities of the territory. By implementing the TAPE, a gradual process can be launched at the end of which, the local entrepreneurs become capable to produce high-quality finished products, as well. This process will result in higher economic attractiveness of the region and higher employment level.
The project results: new enterprises receiving support (2pc), employment increase in supported enterprises (10FTE), will contribute the increase of the employment in the program area.
