The project BioDiTOUR seeks to harmonize preservation of biotic diversity with encouraging the development of its most valuable resources, its natural assets, which also represents one the fundamental challenges of the programme area. One of the most substantial treats to biodiversity across Europe are plant invaders, invasive alien species that are making their way into habitats and, while doing so, impoverish biotic diversity; aiming to contain the environmental, economic and health impacts of neophytes, the project illustrates methods of tackling neophytes and preserving habitats at the cross-border level. Valorization of biodiversity for the purposes of developing socially and environmentally friendly sustainable tourism will be brought about through the development of cross-border products of active and educational tourism. We wish to encourage the visitor to thread off the beaten path and stop by newly developed green locations of the cross-border region. The project approach is innovative in its audience-orientation, be it local communities or tourist visitors, emphasis is placed on informing and awareness-raising. Innovative project activities that begin with research, implementation and informative role of the Neophyte Academy, establishment of tourist and informative infrastructure, so called BioDiTOUR points, steering the gaze of the visitor in the direction of natural treasures and informing him or her about the dangers of invasive alien plant species, and continue toward the development of tourist products and services that raise the quality of life in the local community, bring about social and economic benefits and, when underpinned with appropriate promotional and informative tools, represent added value to the existing tourist offers of the programme area, thus increasing the recognizability of the region, and are, which is most important, freely publicly available.

Das BioDiTOUR Projekt basiert auf der Suche nach Einklang zwischen der Erhaltung der Biodiversität im grenzüberschr. Gebiet und Förderung der Entwicklung seiner wertvollsten Güter, d. h. natürlichen Vorzüge, was zu Schlüsselherausforderungen des Programmgeb. gehört. Die Biodiversität auf gesamteuropäischer Ebene wird von Pflanzen-Fremdlingen, gebietsfremden invasiven Arten, die sich den Weg in die Habitate bahnen und die Biodiversität ärmer machen, bedroht. Um die ökologischen, wirtsch. und gesundheitlichen Schäden der Neophyten zu vermeiden, zeichnet das Projekt die Wege der Neophyten-Bekämpfung und Erhaltung der Habitate auf grenzüberschr. Ebene. Valorisierung der Biodiversität für die Entwicklung des gesellschafts- und umweltfreundlichen nachh. Tourismus wird durch die Entwicklung der grenzüberschr. Produkte des aktiven und Bildungstourismus erreicht. Den Besucher wollen wir motivieren, dass er sich abseits ausgetretener Pfade begibt und neu gestaltete grüne Standorte der grenzüberschr. Region besucht. Der Projektansatz ist innovativ gerade in seiner Orientierung zum Publikum, sei es zur lokalen Gemeinschaft oder zu den tour. Besuchern, das Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Informierung und Bewusstseinsbildung. Die innovativen Projektaktivitäten, beginnend mit der Forschungs-, Implementierungs- und Informationsrolle der Neophytenakademie, die Erschließung der touristisch-informativen Infrastruktur (BioDiTOUR-Punkte), die den Besucher zu den natürlichen Gegebenheiten lenken werden und über die Bedrohung der gebietsf. invasiven Arten belehren werden, und nicht letztendlich die Entwicklung der touristischen Produkte und Dienstleistungen erhöhen die Lebensqualität der lokalen Gemeinschaft, sichern gesellschaftlichen und ökonomischen Vorteile ab, und, unterstützt von geeigneten Promotions- und Informationsinstrumenten, generieren touristischen Mehrwert im Programmgebiet, erhöhen die Erkennbarkeit der Region und sind, was am wichtigsten ist, für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich.

Projekt BioDiTOUR sloni na iskanju sozvočja med ohranjanjem biotske pestrosti čezmejnega območja in spodbujanjem razvoja njegovih najdragocenejših dobrin, tj. naravnih danosti, kar sodi tudi med ključne izzive programskega območja. Eno največjih groženj biodiverziteti na vseevropski ravni predstavljajo rastlinski pribežniki, tujerodne invazivne vrste, ki si utirajo pot do habitatov in siromašijo biotsko raznovrstnost; z namenom zajezitve okoljske, gospodarske in zdravstvene škode neofitov projekt zarisuje načine njihovega zatiranja in ohranjanja habitatov na čezmejni ravni. Valorizacijo biodiverzitete za potrebe razvoja družbi in okolju prijaznega trajnostnega turizma bomo dosegli s snovanjem čezmejnih produktov aktivnega in izobraževalnega turizma. Obiskovalca želimo spodbuditi, da zaide z ustaljenih poti in obišče vključene novourejene zelene lokacije čezmejne regije. Projektni pristop je inovativen prav v naravnanosti občinstvu, najsi bo to lokalna skupnost ali turistični obiskovalci, poudarek je na informiranju in ozaveščanju. Inovativne projektne dejavnosti, začenši z raziskovalno, implementacijsko in obveščevalno vlogo Akademije neofitov, vzpostavitev turistično-informativne infrastrukture, t. im. točk BioDiTOUR, ki usmerjajo pogled obiskovalca proti naravnim zakladnicam in ga poučijo o nevarnostih tujerodnih invazivk, in navsezadnje tudi razvoj turističnih produktov in storitev dvigajo kakovost življenja lokalni skupnosti, prinašajo družbene in ekonomske dobrobiti ter, podkrepljene z ustreznimi promocijskimi in informativnimi orodji, predstavljajo dodano vrednost turistični ponudbi programskega območja ter višajo prepoznavnost regije, predvsem pa so, kar je najpomembneje, javno in prosto dostopne.
