Description (EN):

The objective of the project is to combine the expertise of IXALP-DRONES and LATITUDE DRONE in autonomous systems and bathymetry with that of the CSEM in LiDAR systems to design and realise an innovative tool, dedicated to underwater mapping or sub-lacustrine in high resolution 3D. This prototype will be validated in real environment and its performance evaluated during different test campaigns. To this end, we will benefit from the support of IFREMER, a French public co-financer, which will make available its infrastructure and expertise in photogrammetry and underwater imaging during this validation phase.The platform will consist of a new generation of an existing prototype of an autonomous boat with which IXALP-DRONES and LATITUDE DRONE currently offer mapping services with limitations inherent in the available sensors. With the future LiDAR instrument, we will be able to offer our customers a mapping service with a level of detail about 400 times higher than at present. This unparalleled spatial resolution represents a unique differentiator for our partnership. In the end, the consortium aims to commercialise the autonomous boat and LiDAR, as well as services related to the operation of the tool. For the technology transfer of LiDAR, the CSEM currently favours the creation of a startup in the canton of Neuchâtel, which will rely on local skills to produce in small series.

L'objectif du projet est de combiner l'expertise de IXALP-DRONES et LATITUDE DRONE en systèmes autonomes et bathymétrie avec celle du CSEM en systèmes LiDAR pour concevoir et réaliser un outil novateur, dédié à la cartographie sous-marine ou sous-lacustre en 3D haute résolution. Ce prototype sera validé en environnement réel et ses performances évaluées durant différentes campagnes de test. Pour ce faire, nous bénéficierons du soutien de l'IFREMER, co-financeur public français, qui mettra à disposition ses infrastructures ainsi que son expertise en photogrammétrie et imagerie sous-marine lors de cette phase de validation.La plate-forme consistera en une nouvelle génération d'un prototype de bateau autonome existant avec lequel IXALP-DRONES et LATITUDE DRONE offrent actuellement des services de cartographie avec des limitations inhérentes aux capteurs disponibles. Avec le futur instrument LiDAR, nous serons à même de proposer à notre clientèle un service de cartographie avec un niveau de détails environ 400 fois plus élevé qu'actuellement. Cette résolution spatiale inégalée représente un différenciateur unique pour notre partenariat.A terme, le consortium vise une commercialisation du bateau autonome et du LiDAR, ainsi que des services liés à l’exploitation de l'outil. Pour le transfert technologique du LiDAR, le CSEM privilégie actuellement la création d'une startup dans le canton de Neuchâtel qui s'appuiera sur les compétences locales pour produire en petites séries.
