Louis Bélet propose des outils spécifiques pour le micro-usinage du titane (Ti). Ces outils doivent être revêtus pour prolonger leur durée de vie, mais un revêtement efficace fait défaut. Le projet vise à développer de nouveaux revêtements PVD destinés aux micro-outils pour l’usinage du Ti. Les revêtements de carbonitrures métalliques, p.ex. Ti-Si (B)-C-N sont excellents candidats pour l’application visée. Grâce à la composition et une architecture flexible, leur performance peut être adaptée aux besoins de l’application. Ces revêtements seront développés par les techniques PVD innovantes : HiPiMS (High Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering) et RGPP (Reactive Gas Pulsing Process). Les performances des outils revêtus seront évaluées grâces aux tests d’usinage menés par Louis Bélet et Anthogyr. La société Platit sera en charge de construire un réacteur R&D et d’y transférer le procédé de dépôt développé au laboratoire.

Description (EN):

Louis Bélet offers specific tools for the micro-machining of titanium (Ti). These tools must be coated to extend their service life, but an effective coating is lacking. The project aims to develop new PVD coatings for micro-tools for Ti machining. Metal carbonitride coatings, e.g. Ti-Si (B)-C-N are excellent candidates for the intended application. Thanks to its composition and flexible architecture, their performance can be adapted to the needs of the application. These coatings will be developed by innovative PVD techniques: HiPIMS (High Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering) and RGPP (Reactive Gas Pulsing Process). The performance of the coated tools will be evaluated using machining tests conducted by Louis Bélet and Anthogyr. The platit company will be in charge of constructing an R & D reactor and transferring the deposition process developed to the laboratory.
