Description (EN):

The action will help to improve access of pregnant women and families with children aged 0-3 from the RO-MD border area communities to health services and reduce the number of newly registered cases of illness among children in the 7 regions. Nurses/health visitors from the 7 regions will reach all children including those from the most marginalized and isolated groups and communities to provide counseling and quality health services. The implementation of home visiting brings the health services in the community and helps prevent and address the development issues or risks of disability at a very early age and early stage. Parents will have their knowledge and skills improved so they can ensure better care and good development environment for their children.

Achievements (EN):

1. Improved home visiting programme (1) 2. Reduced risks of illnesses among the child/adult population benefiting from the action. (2132) 3. Improved parents perception of imunization (2184) 4. Improved skills and knowledge of the primary health professionals (133) 5. A cross border Network of health professionals created (135) 6. Increased accesses of pregnant women and children 0-3 from 7 crossborder regions to primary health services (2132) 7. Increased awareness and knowledge among wide population about the importance of early child development (1)

Delivered Outputs (EN):

Number of children 0-3 and pregnant women benefiting from the Home visiting programme (2132) - 2132 children aged 0-3 and pregnant women from 7 cross border regions will have better access to public health services due to the Home Visiting programme. Good health condition for the target group will be ensured. Number of nurses applying the new Home Visiting programme (133) - 133 nurses will have better knowledge and skills and provide quality health services to children and pregnant women from their area.
