Description (EN):

The project aims to highlight the importance of common history in the cross-border region for attracting tourist. Project partners - Birštonas and Stare Juchy municipalities will create an information system for the presentation of historical and natural heritage and will create touristic routes. Within the project new or renewed bicycle-pedestrian routes will be equipped with historical heritage information system. As well information campaign will be carried out with prepared common maps of the routs. For promotion of intangible cultural heritage, it will be organized wood carving symposium and workshops and events presenting culture and historical heritage for participants from both municipalities .

Projekto tikslas – vystyti turizmo potencialą pasienio regionuose: Birštono savivaldybė ir Stare Juchy valsčius sukurs informacinę sistemą istoriniam ir gamtinio paveldo pristatymui bei turizmo maršrutus pasienio regione. Įgyvendinant projektą bus sukurti nauji arba atnaujinti esami dviračių pėsčiųjų maršrutai Birštono savivaldybėje ir Stare Juchy valsčiuje. Šiuose maršrutuose bus įrengta istorinė paveldo informacinė sistema, informacinė kampanija bus vykdoma rengiant bendrus maršrutų žemėlapius, informacija apie naujus maršrutus bus skleidžiama per turizmo informacijos centrus, tinklalapius. Projekto dalyviai dalyvaus gerosios praktikos mainuose tarp projekto partnerių. Projektu bus skatinamas nematerialaus kultūros paveldo išsaugojimas organizuojant medienos drožybos simpoziumą ir seminarą vietiniams gyventojams bei lankytojams. Simpoziume dalyvaus Lietuvos ir Lenkijos drožėjai. Lenkijos pusėje bus organizuojamas renginys dalyviams iš Lietuvos ir savivaldybės gyventojams pristatant vietos kultūrą ir istorinį paveldą.

Projekt ma na celu podkreślenie znaczenia wspólnej historii w regionie przygranicznym, na tej podstawie można poprawić atrakcyjność terenu i przyciągnąć więcej turystów przez tworzenie nowych lub rozszerzanie istniejących tras turystycznych oraz rozprzestrzenić informację o wspólnym dziedzictwie historycznym i przyrodniczym po obu stronach regionu transgranicznego. W trakcie realizacji projektu gmina Birštonas i gmina Stare Juchy stworzą system informacyjny na potrzeby prezentacji dziedzictwa historycznego i przyrodniczego oraz stworzą szlaki turystyczne po obu stronach granicy. Podczas realizacji projektu zostaną zbudowane nowe lub odnowione istniejące trasy rowerowo-piesze w gminie Birštonas i Stare Juchy. Trasy te zostaną wyposażone w system informacyjny o dziedzictwie historycznym. Kampania informacyjna zostanie przeprowadzona z przygotowanie wspólnych map tras rowerowo-pieszych, informacje o nowych trasach będą rozprzestrzeniane przy pomocy Centr Informacji Turystycznej oraz strony internetowe. Uczestnicy projektu wezmą udział w zorganizowanych wizytach wymiany dobrych praktyk między partnerami projektu. Aby promować niematerialne dziedzictwo kulturowe, organizowane będą warsztaty rzeźby w drewnie dla mieszkańców i gości-rzeźbiarze z Litwy a Polscy uczestnicy. Po stronie Polskiej zostanie zorganizowany event dla uczestników z Litwy i mieszkańców gminy prezentujący kulturę i dziedzictwo historyczne.

Achievements (EN):

1 route for tourism was developed. Partners organised 2 exchange visits in Stare Juchy and Birštonas, 1 carver's workshop in Birštonas and 1 historical and cultural events in Stare Juchy. Žvėrinčius forest bike route (2nd stage) was built, and building works of bike and for pedestrian were finished in Poland. As well, a map of bike routes was prepared.
