The objective of the project is to improve the international competitiveness of manufacturing companies in the Greater Region, in particular SMEs. Process innovations and productivity improvements need to increase R & D spending. The project focuses on important sectors of manufacturing to bring about “smart specialisation”. A study will develop a model to measure and evaluate the competitiveness of SMEs in the Greater Region. The model is tested in case studies. The template is available to companies and institutions on the project website, in the form of the PRODPILOT audit tool based on elaborate content. A marketing strategy, e.g. “Greater Region Productivity Award” will make it possible to disseminate the new offer beyond the companies selected for the case studies, thanks to the multiplication of proposed solutions.

L’objectif du projet est d’améliorer la compétitivité internationale des entreprises manufacturières de la Grande Région, et notamment des PME. Les innovations de procédé et les améliorations de la productivité doivent augmenter les dépenses en R&D. Le projet se concentre sur les secteurs importants de l’industrie manufacturière pour faire émerger une « spécialisation intelligente ». Une étude permettra de développer un modèle pour mesurer et évaluer la compétitivité des PME de la Grande Région. Le modèle est testè dans des études de cas. Le modèle est à la disposition des entreprises et institutions sur le site Internet du projet, sous la forme de l’outil d’audit PRODPILOT basé sur des contenus élaborés. Une stratégie marketing, p.ex. « Prix de la productivité de la Grande Region» permettra de diffuser la nouvelle offre au-delà des entreprises sélectionnées pour les études de cas, grâce à la multiplication des solutions proposées.

Kernziel des Projektes ist die Entwicklung einer Plattform, die Unternehmen erlaubt, mit einem Selbstanalyse-Tool ihre Produktivität zu evaluieren und eigenständig Maßnahmen zur Steigerung der Produktivität ihres Unternehmens einzuleiten. Grundlage für die Plattform sind die Erkenntnisse aus den rund 30 im Projekt durchgeführten Fallstudien sein. In den Fallstudien begleiten die Projektpartner ausgewählte Unternehmen bei der Analyse und bei den anschließenden Maßnahmen zur Steigerung der Produktivität. Im Laufe des Projektes wurden so wissenschaftliche Parameter für die Messung und Steigerung der Produktivität festgelegt. Die Ergebnisse aus den Fallstudien fließen in das Selbstanalyse-Tool der Plattform ein. Eine weitere Aktivität von PRODPILOT ist die Einführung und Etablierung eines Produktivitätspreises in der Großregion, um Innovationsprozesse anzuregen und Praxisbeispiele auszuzeichnen. Dieser „PRODPILOT Grand Prix“ wurde insgesamt 4-mal in der gesamten Laufzeit des Projekts an Unternehmen der Großregion verliehen. Des Weiteren hat das Projektkonsortium einen Workshop entwickelt, mit dessen Hilfe Mitarbeiter der Unternehmen lernen, relevante Potenziale zur Steigerung der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit zu erkennen und zu verstehen. Diese Schulungskonzepte zur Einführung von Lean Management finden in Präsenz sowie Online statt.

Achievements (EN):

The core objective of the project is to develop a platform that allows companies to use a self-analysis tool to evaluate their productivity and to independently initiate measures to increase their company’s productivity. The platform is based on the findings from the approximately 30 case studies carried out in the project. In the case studies, the project partners accompany selected companies in the analysis and subsequent measures to increase productivity. In the course of the project, scientific parameters were established for measuring and increasing productivity. The results from the case studies are incorporated into the platform’s self-analysis tool. Another activity of PRODPILOT is the introduction and establishment of a productivity prize in the larger region in order to stimulate innovation processes and award practical examples. This “PRODPILOT Grand Prix” was awarded a total of 4 times over the entire duration of the project to companies in the Greater Region. Furthermore, the project consortium has developed a workshop with which employees of the companies learn to identify and understand relevant potentials to increase competitiveness. These training concepts for the introduction of lean management take place in presence and online.
