The CARIB-COAST project aims to implement a Caribbean network for monitoring coastal risk prevention and adaptation to climate change. Achievements: — Technical point with the AEC for the implementation of the coastal erosion monitoring and management guide common to the Sandy Shoreline and CARIB-COAST projects. — Development of a proposed plan for the guide and exchanges with the NFB and CARSPAW. — Start of Thibault’s thesis. — Location on the ground and request authorisation with the owners for the installation of video camera tracking systems (Mairie de Trois-Rivières and Hôtel Fort Royal in Deshaies). — Recruitment of a trainee for the realisation of the measurements on the pilot sites and the production of communication support for a period of 6 months from March 2020.

Le projet CARIB-COAST vise à mettre en oeuvre un réseau caribéen de surveillance de prévention des risques côtiers et d’adaptation au changement climatique. Réalisations: - Point technique avec l’AEC pour la réalisation du guide de suivi et de gestion de l’érosion du littoral commun aux projets Sandy Shoreline et CARIB-COAST. - Elaboration d’une proposition de plan pour le guide et échanges avec l’ONF et le CARSPAW. - Démarrage de la thèse de Thibault. - Repérage sur le terrain et demande d’autorisation avec les propriétaires pour l’installation des systèmes de suivi par caméra vidéo (Mairie de Trois-Rivières et Hôtel Fort Royal à Deshaies). - Recrutement d’un stagiaire pour la réalisation des mesures sur les sites pilotes et la production de support de communication pour une durée de 6 mois à partir de Mars 2020.
