Description (EN):

Europe's specific cultural heritage includes historic narrow-gauge railways, such as Košice Children's Historical Railway and Forest Railway in Nagybörzsöny. Both railways are important tourist destinations and gateways to nature and attract domestic and foreign visitors. It is a total of 90 000 tourists a year. Because railways were not given sufficient attention in the past and also suffered from poor maintenance, financial and technical problems became their present reality. Today, both railways face the same challenges and obstacles to further development. The main objective of the project is to preserve this cultural and technical heritage for future generations by increasing its attractiveness, thereby ensuring its long-term operation and sustainability. Tangible results of project partners: In Slovakia, Košice it is restoration of the oldest steam locomotive in Central Europe (Katka, 1884) and improving safety by repairing the worst parts of the track. At the end station there will be exposed and illuminated a renovated historic Swiss electric locomotive. The most attractive result will be the production of two summer wagons, one of which will be named "Nagybörzsöny". Very important result will be the launch of own eShop for ticket sales and the production of an attractive marketing film. In Hungary, in addition to the presentation film, Nagybörzsöny will invite tourists to visit its historical sites with unique 2D and 3D advertisements. The most significant investment of the project is the modernization of the stage of the open air amphitheatre, elecrification and the installation of lighting of the rare historic Church of St. Stephen (West Gate). On the narrow gauge railway it will be a general repair of the historic narrow gauge diesel locomotive named "Košice" and a complete reconstruction of the historical wagon (East Gate). Other outputs of the project include a trilingual application – audioguide, which will prezent the historical monuments of the village.

Európa specifikus kulturális örökségéhez tartoznak a „KisVonatok”, mint pl. a Kassai Történelmi Gyermekvasút és a Nagybörzsönyi Erdei Vasút. Az idők során mindkét „KisVonat” jelentős turisztikai célállomássá vált, és nemcsak vonzzák a látogatókat, hanem egyben jelentős kapuk is a természetbe, amelyeket évente csaknem 90 000-en keresnek fel belföldről és külföldről is. Mivel a múltban nem fordítottak elég figyelmet és karbantartást a „KisVonatokra”, sorsuk hanyatlásnak indult, így mindkét „KisVonat” komoly mélypontokkal szembesül és azonos kihívásokkal küzd. A legfőbb kihívás e kulturális és ipari örökségünk megőrzése az utókornak az attraktivitásuk megnövelésével, mellyel a hosszútávú működtetés és annak fenntarthatósága biztosítható. A projekt sikeres befejezése után a partnerek eredményei: Szlovákiában, Kassán, Közép-Európa legrégebb - ma is működő- gőzmozdonyának (Katka, 1884) a felújítása, valamint a biztonságos közlekedés megalapozása - a sínek és hidak legrosszabb részeinek megjavításával. A végállomáson egy felújított történelmi svájci elektromos mozdony lesz kiállítva és kivilágítva. Az utasok számára a legszerethetőbb fejlesztés két történelmi nyári vagon helyreállítása lesz, egyikük „Nagybörzsöny” névvel. Kevésbé látványos, de igen fontos cél az eShop bevezetése és egy vonzó marketing-film elkészítése légifelvételekkel. Magyarországon, Nagybörzsönyben, a bemutató-kisfilmen túl egyedülálló 2D és 3D reklámok buzdítják majd az odalátogatókat, hogy az összes történelmi nevezetességet megtekintsék. A projekt legjelentősebb beruházásai: az Amfiteátrum színpadának korszerűsítése, a nézőtér megépítése, illetve az elektromos hálózat kiépítése, a Szent István Templom díszkivilágítása (Nyugati Kapunál), és a zsákfalu túloldalán, az Erdei Vasúton, a „Kassa“ mozdony generáljavítása, egy korhű vagon összeszerelése (Keleti Kapunál), valamint a köztük lévő kiemelt úticélokhoz kapcsolódó hanganyag-útmutató (audio-guide) háromnyelvű életre keltése lesz.

Medzi špecifické kultúrne dedičstvo Európy patria historické úzkorozchodné železnice, ako napr. Košická detská historická železnica a Lesná železnica v Nagybörzsöny. Obe železničky sú dnes významnými turistickými cieľmi a dôležitými bránami do prírody a priťahujú domácich a zahraničných návštevníkov. Ročne je to spolu takmer 90 000 turistov. Pretože však v minulosti nebola historickým železničkám venovaná dostatočná pozornosť a trpeli tiež nedostatočnou údržbou, ich osudom sa stal úpadok z finančného a technického hľadiska. Dnes obe železničky čelia rovnakým výzvam a vážnym prekážkam v ďalšom rozvoji. Hlavným cieľom projektu je zachovať toto kultúrne a priemyselné dedičstvo pre budúce generácie zvýšením jeho atraktivity, čím sa zabezpečí jeho dlhodobá prevádzka a udržateľnosť. Hmatateľné výsledky partnerov po ukončení projektu: Na Slovensku v Košiciach ide o obnovu najstaršieho parného rušňa v strednej Európe (Katka, 1884) a zvýšenie bezpečnosti opravou najhorších častí trate a mostov. V konečnej stanici, ako ďalší výsledok projektu, bude vystavený a osvetlený renovovaný historický švajčiarsky elektrický rušeň. Najatraktívnejším výsledkom pre návštevníkov bude výroba dvoch letných vozňov, z ktorých jeden sa bude volať „Nagybörzsöny“. Menej viditeľným, ale veľmi dôležitým výsledkom bude spustenie vlastného eShopu na predaj lístkov a výroba atraktívneho marketingového filmu. V Maďarskom Nagybörzsöny budú okrem prezentačného filmu pozývať turistov k návšteve všetkých historických pamiatok aj jedinečné 2D a 3D reklamy. Najvýznamnejšou investíciou projektu je modernizácia javiska, dobudovanie hľadiska amfiteátra, inštalácia osvetlenia vzácneho historického Kostola Sv. Štefana (Západná brána). Priamo na železničke to bude generálna oprava a sprevádzkovanie dieslového rušňa „Košice“ a úplná rekonštrukcia historického vozňa (Východná brána). K ďalším výstupom projektu patrí trojjazyčná aplikácia – audioguide, ktorá bude sprevádzať návštevníkov historickými pamiatkami obce.

Expected Results (EN):

In DŽK railway the total number of visitors per 2019 year was 52 000 based on number of sold tickets. We expect increase at least 1 500 visitors in at the end of the year 2022. In NB railway the total number of visitors per 2019 is 32 000 visitors based also on number of sold tickets. We also expect the increase of the number of visitors at least 1 500 visitors in at the end of the year 2022. Non-resident visitors usually take accommodation in facilities, what will be counted in tourism basic data.

Expected Outputs (EN):

10, Tangible outcomes: 1 E-ticket software. 1 newly created website (SK-HU-ENG). 1 newly developed tourism service (e-ticket service). 3, Tangible outcomes: 4 successful public procurement procedures: - reconstruction of steam locomotive Katka, two new wagons, tracks reconstruction, electric locomotive repair. 4 signed contracts/orders with the selected suppliers. 4, Tangible outcomes: 1 successful public procurement procedure for locomotive C-50 and for historical wagon BA554. 2 signed contract with selected suppliers. 5, Tangible outcomes: 2 new open summer passenger wagons in DZK; 1 repaired electric locomotive for exhibition with lightings in DZK; 1 repaired steam locomotive for usage in DZK. 6, Tangible outcomes: 1 repaired historic wagon (named "Kassa"); 1 repaired locomotive C-50. 7, Tangible outcomes: 1 km of reconstructed railway tracks. 8, Tangible outcomes: 1 reconstructed open air theater (size: 300 m2), 1 lighting of the area (size: approx. 20 m2 around the historic church). 9, Tangible outcomes: 1 Short animated film for tourists in three languages (EN+HU+SK).
