Description (EN):

Given demographic changes, skill mismatches, rigid regulations, gender gaps and persistence of certain socio-cultural norms, the Euro-Mediterranean region faces high unemployment rates of youth, mainly NEETs, and women are underrepresented in the labour market. The growing proliferation of sustainable and eco-responsible innovations in the agri-food and waste management sectors requires new occupational profiles. To achieve this goal, MYSEA aims, from one side, to identify existing and emerging skills and professional needs through oriented training, coaching and mentoring, and from the other side, to involve Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions and enterprises encouraging sector-skills alliances through apprenticeship, traineeship and on-the-job training. The project will result in opportunities for young women and NEETs to apply the soft and hard skills learned during the training period and offer a platform to exchange experiences and implement national employment schemes in favour of youth employment.

Achievements (EN):

Condensing the MYSEA project experience into a concise and comprehensive training course: this is the legacy the project intends to leave to the community after its closure. Developed by the training organisation Eurotraining, MYSEA's partner in Greece, the platform hosts a micro-course of 20 video pills summarising the contents of the broader training courses focused on the Blue & Green Economy. The objective is twofold: on the one hand, to provide a quick content review tool for students who have attended the project's courses; on the other hand, to give a sort of primary literacy to those who are approaching the topics covered by our project for the first time, so that it can be a starting point for further study. Reflecting the structure of the training course "Working in the Blue&Green Economy", the core activity of MYSEA Project, the four modules are divided as follows: DIGITAL SKILLS 01 Digital Literacy 02 Digital Transformation 03 Digital Technology in the Agri Food Sector 04 Digital Technology into Waste Management 05 Technology and Decision Making SECTOR-BASED SKILLS 06 Social Media Marketing 07 Green Economy 08 Green Building 09 Blue Economy 10 Organic farming SOFT SKILLS 11 Task Force Model 12 Body Language 13 Problem Solving in the Workplace 14 Time Management in the Workplace 15 Active listening ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS 16 Entrepreneurial Skills on Blue and Green Economy 17 Business models in Blue and Green Economy 18 Driving Innovation and Sustainability 19 Securing Sustainable Success 20 Future Prospects of Entrepreneurship in the Blue and Green Economy The MYSEA microlearning platform is available at this page: https://mysea-vle.eu/

Expected Results (EN):

3 training packages on transversal, digital and sector-oriented skills. 200 certificates of traineeship and on-the job training. 20 mobile-friendly microlearning to self-directed learning. 15 associations launched to promote sustainable and eco-responsible innovation. 15 creative workshops to learn skills in digital storytelling, photography and video making. 90 potential employment contracts. 15 days training of TVETs staff in the industry. 15 days training of economic sectors staff in TVET institutions.
