LANALAND aims to foster the R+D cooperation between public institutions, companies (SMEs) and other sectoral entities within the POCTEFA territory, using as a development vector the innovation of processes and products from native sheep's wool (coarse), a waste product of complex and costly treatment management, suffered by sheep farms in the cross-border territory. At least four prototypes of products will be created, in which processed wool can replace plastics, polyester or fertilisers, and contribute to the circular economy. Its market feasibility will be analysed, evaluating potential by-products, drawing up a map of the production cycle and identifying end users. This approach will allow the generation of added value and new opportunities through the synergies created among innovation agents, processing SMEs and sectorial associations or development agencies (Triple Helix model). LANALAND's partnership includes entities that cover and have access to the entire value chain, from wool harvesting to future processing and marketing (primary sector, technology centres, engineering, and business, industry and territorial representatives). The cooperation will also make possible to exchange experiences around the treatment and transformation of the raw material (wool) with different methods and knowledge for different uses on both sides of the border.

LANALAND tiene como objetivo favorecer el incremento de la cooperación en materia de I+D+i entre instituciones públicas, empresas (Pymes) y otras entidades sectoriales del territorio POCTEFA utilizando como vector de desarrollo la innovación de procesos y productos a partir de lana de oveja autóctona (basta), residuo de complejo tratamiento y costosa gestión que sufren las explotaciones ovinas del territorio transfronterizo. Se generarán al menos 4 prototipos de productos en los que la lana transformada pueda sustituir plásticos, poliéster o fertilizantes, y favorecer la economía circular. Se estudiará su viabilidad en el mercado, evaluando subproductos potenciales, elaborando un mapa del ciclo productivo e identificando usuarios finales. Este enfoque permitirá generar valor añadido y nuevas oportunidades por las sinergias generadas entre agentes de la innovación, Pymes transformadoras y asociaciones sectoriales o agentes de desarrollo (modelo de Triple Hélice). El partenariado de LANALAND abarca entidades con acceso a toda la cadena de valor, desde la cosecha de la lana hasta su transformación y comercialización futura (sector primario, centros tecnológicos, ingeniería, representantes empresariales, sectoriales y territoriales). La cooperación permitirá también intercambiar experiencias de tratamiento y transformación de la materia prima (lana) con diferentes métodos y conocimientos para diferentes usos en ambos lados de la frontera.

LANALAND s'est fixé pour objectif de favoriser une coopération accrue en R+D+I entre les institutions publiques, les PME et autres entités sectorielles, en utilisant comme vecteur de développement l'innovation des procédés et des produits issus de la laine des moutons autochtones (laine brute), qui constitue actuellement un déchet difficile à traiter, assorti d’une gestion coûteuse qui pèsent sur les exploitations ovines du territoire transfrontalier. Au minimum 4 prototypes de produits dans lesquels la laine transformée peut remplacer le plastique, le polyester ou les engrais et favoriser l'économie circulaire seront mis au point. Leur viabilité sur le marché sera étudiée, évaluant les sous-produits potentiels, dressant une carte du cycle de production et en identifiant les utilisateurs finaux. Cette approche permettra de créer de la valeur ajoutée et de nouvelles opportunités grâce aux synergies nées de la collaboration entre les agents d'innovation, PME de transformation et associations sectorielles ou agents de développement (modèle Triple Hélice). Le partenariat de LANALAND englobe des entités ayant accès à l'ensemble de la chaîne de valeur, de la récolte de la laine à une future transformation et commercialisation. La coopération permettra d'échanger des expériences de traitement et de transformation avec différentes méthodes et savoir-faire pour différents usages.
