Il progetto mira alla sperimentazione pilota di nuove tecniche e sistemi per l’integrazione delle fonti di energia rinnovabili (FER) fotovoltaici nelle reti elettriche di media tensione e bassa tensione in Tunisia e in Sicilia per facilitare il funzionamento delle reti e ottimizzare l’utilizzo delle capacità di produzione e di distribuzione

Description (EN): The project seeks to pilot-test new techniques and systems for the integration of photovoltaic renewable energy sources (RES) into the medium- and low-voltage electricity grids in Tunisia and Sicily in order to facilitate grid operation and optimise the use of production and distribution capacities

Le projet vise à l’expérimentation pilote de mise en œuvre de nouvelles techniques et de systèmes pour l’intégration des sources d’énergies renouvelables (SER) photovoltaïques dans les réseaux électriques de moyenne tension et basse tension en Tunisie et en Sicile pour faciliter l’exploitation des réseaux et optimiser l’utilisation des capacités de production et de distribution

Sviluppo e la realizzazione di convertitori innovativi di potenza bidirezionale per impianti di generazione ed accumulo; l'implementazione di nuovi algoritmi di protezione; l'installazione di apparati di telecomunicazioni innovativi adeguati alle esigenze dell'applicazione; costituzione di un nuovo sito pilota sperimentale che consenta la gestione dinamica della rete.

Expected Results (EN):

Development and implementation of innovative bi-directional power converters for generation and accumulation units; implementation of new security algorithms; installation of innovative telecommunications equipment adapted to the needs of the application; establishment of a new experimental pilot site enabling dynamic grid management.

Développement et la réalisation de convertisseurs de puissance bidirectionnels innovants pour les centrales de production et de stockage ; la mise en œuvre de nouveaux algorithmes de protection ; l'installation d'équipements de télécommunications innovants adaptés aux besoins de l'application ; la création d'un nouveau site pilote expérimental qui permettra la gestion dynamique du réseau.

Expected Outputs (IT):

1 Analisi dei vincoli e delle specificità locali per le apparecchiature di conversione dell'energia; 2 convertitori di potenza bidirezionali (BPC) controllati a distanza; 2 dispositivi elettronici intelligenti (IED); sviluppo di 2 algoritmi di protezione locale (anti-islanding); analisi contestuale del sistema di gestione e valutazione della specificità per la rete tunisina e siciliana; 4 sistemi di comunicazione su linea elettrica (PLC) in MT (media tensione) e BT (bassa tensione); 4 sistemi di comunicazione a radiofrequenza; 1 stazione centrale SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) con algoritmi di gestione; allestimento di 2 siti dimostrativi pilota che integrano tutti i prodotti e gli approcci sviluppati; 15 pubblicazioni scientifiche e brevetti

1 Analysis of local constraints and specificities for power converter equipment; 2 Bidirectional Power Converters (BPCs) remotely controlled; 2 Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs); Development of 2 local protection algorithms (anti-islanding); Analysis of the management and assessment system for the Tunisian and Sicilian network; 4 Communication systems on power lines (PLC) in MV (medium voltage) and LV (low voltage); 4 Radio frequency communication systems; 1 SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) central stations with management algorithms; Setting up of 2 pilot demonstration sites integrating all the products and approaches developed; 1 analysis of the management and evaluation system to identify a specific installation site for testing and requirements of the monitoring and management systems; 15 scientific publications and patents
