Description (EN):

REInSER brings together 8 project partners from academia, business support organisations and local authorities gathering different expertise, knowledges and skills in six countries of the ADRION area, namely, Slovenia, Italy, Greece, BiH, Serbia and Croatia. The project aims at tapping the potential of networking and knowledge transfer of transnational as well as cross-sectional cooperation of key stakeholders; the project strategic partnership is striving to find a sustainable solution for the pressing issue of refugees and asylum seekers. The main objective of REInSER is to improve their economic, and consequently wider, integration in host societies of ADRION programme area by using approaches of social economy and in particular social entrepreneurship. The long-term objective is to enhance possibilities for refugees to become active economic actors and agents of their own integration in given host society on one hand and to contribute to the local and regional sustainable economic development by generating employment and supporting the creation of new social responsible businesses on the other hand. REInSER main outputs involve: 1.the creation of an innovative transnational cooperation network which will bring together national, regional and local governments, governmental bodies, NGOs, social entrepreneurs, academics and refugees in a common programme as the first of its kind in ADRION region. Additionally, transn.exchange of knowledge from study trips, gathered best practices and experimental social ecosystem will be established through pilot actions and the insights from their evaluation, as well as the introduction of social innovation approaches supported by a broad range of local stakeholders. This will generate possibilities for acquisition of long-term competencies of direct and indirect beneficiaries; and enable 2.to prepare holistic transnational strategy and action plan for successful integration of refugees in host societies’ economies.

Expected Outputs (EN):

The main results of REInSER is the creation of an innovative transnational cooperation network of different stakeholders involved in the economic integration of refugees in host societies of ADRION programme area. The aim of the network is to enhance skills and knowledge of social innovation approaches among stakeholders in the labour market and societal integration of refugees. We claim that this transnational social innovation action has a great long-term potential to foster diffusion and uptake of innovation in the economic integration of refugees through social entrepreneurship that could create social values. Enhancement of the competencies/skills of the stakeholders will result from the project actions/activities connected to foreseen activities: transnational exchanges of experiences and best practices, study trips, transnational peer review, local stakeholder networks' activities and pilots of social innovation approaches. All stakeholders in ADRION areas will have access to the tool-box developed with detailed description of instruments and will include a set of instructions for Integration of refugees through social enterprises. The alliance is going to mobilize also stakeholders in the field of research, social innovation in order to increase transfer between business, users, academia and administration actors (quadruple helix approach). The mentioned transfers are going to impact on the next important results of the project REInSER; the Transnational Strategy and the Action Plan for its realization through short-term and long-term measures. Furthermore, the partners' experiences and best practices are added up to policy recommendations showing how social innovation approaches could be beneficial for the labour-market integration of refugees. In this aspect, the project will allow the creation of a responsive transnational environment for better coordinated innovation policies and strategies for economic integration of refugees.
