Il progetto CORALLO sostiene la diffusione e la fruizione del patrimonio naturale attraverso una gamma diversificata di strumenti di edutainment e interventi infrastrutturali minori e non intrusivi all'interno dei siti Natura 2000 (N2K). Attraverso il progetto verranno sviluppati servizi e strutture didattiche all'avanguardia in ciascuno dei siti target, incluso un ampio uso della realtà virtuale e estesa tra cui documentari e brevi videoclip. Inoltre le specie e gli habitat iconici incontrati in ciascuno dei siti target di N2K saranno esposti in diversi centri identificati per l'intervento, capitalizzando così i punti di forza e le risorse uniche detenute da ciascun sito. Il progetto CORALLO fornisce pure strumenti di sensibilizzazione mobile, ossia campagne scientifiche per i cittadini, una barca di informazioni sul progetto, app per smartphone e giochi e strumenti online, che consentiranno di toccare una vasta gamma di utenti finali. CORALLO vuole realizzare un maggior grado di consapevolezza sulla biodiversità esistente all'interno dei siti N2K e la promozione dei relativi servizi ecosistemici. Il progetto attua quindi attività di sensibilizzazione con il maggior numero possibile di utenti finali.

Description (EN):

The CORALLO project supports the dissemination and use of the natural heritage through a diverse range of edutainment tools and minor and non-intrusive infrastructure interventions within Natura 2000 (N2K) sites. Through the project, state-of-the-art educational services and facilities will be developed in each of the target sites, including extensive use of virtual and extended reality including documentaries and short video clips. In addition, the iconic species and habitats encountered at each of N2K's target sites will be exhibited in different centers identified for intervention, thus capitalizing on the unique strengths and resources held by each site. The CORALLO project also provides mobile awareness tools, i.e. scientific campaigns for citizens, a boat of project information, smartphone apps and games and online tools, which will allow to reach a wide range of end users. CORALLO wants to achieve a greater degree of awareness of the biodiversity existing within N2K sites and the promotion of related ecosystem services. The project then carries out awareness-raising activities with as many end users as possible.

Expected Results (IT):

n. 6 siti marini e terrestri protetti (tre a Malta e tre in Sicilia) che adotteranno piani di implementazione del godimento responsabile dei siti, per aumentarne il grado di consapevolezza e apprezzamento tra variegati utenti finali, utilizzando una vasta gamma di strumenti e risorse non invasivi. L’area dei siti N2K maltesi e siciliani coinvolti coprirà collettivamente un valore superiore a 100 kmq

Expected Results (EN):

N. 6 protected marine and land sites (three in Malta and three in Sicily) that will adopt implementation plans for the responsible use of the sites, to increase their awareness and appreciation among varied end users, using a wide range of non-invasive tools and resources. The area of the Maltese and Sicilian N2K sites involved will collectively cover a value of more than 100 sq km.

Le attività di progetto realizzeranno per ciascun dei sei siti N2K (tre a Malta e tre in Sicilia): - Analisi delle esigenze/lacune - Analisi SWOT - Piani di attuazione mirati - Strumenti ICT Innovativi e risorse per la generazione di consapevolezza non mobili/fissi destinati all'installazione all'interno degli hub/centri visitatori del sito - Strumenti per attività di natura più transitoria come lo sviluppo di una mostra itinerante ed una barca in viaggio per la diffusione di informazioni - Strumenti di generazione di consapevolezza basati sulle TIC digitali, incluso GAMING - Seminari di formazione e attività di dimostrazione di sensibilizzazione condotte per il pubblico - Codici di condotta per la promozione del godimento responsabile dei siti.

Expected Outputs (EN):

The project activities will carry out for each of the six N2K sites (three in Malta and three in Sicily): - Needs/gaps analysis - SWOT analysis - Targeted implementation plans - Non-mobile/fixed Innovative ICT tools and resources for awareness generation to be installed within the hubs/visitor centres of the site - Tools for transient activities such as the development of a traveling exhibition and a tripping boat for the dissemination of information - Awareness generation tools based on digital ICT, including GAMING - Training and awareness-raising demonstration activities conducted for the public - Conduct codes for the promotion of responsible use of the sites
