Description (EN): The project's aim is to improve physical and emotional health of children in LT-PL cross-border in the time of COVID-19. The project has been specifically designed for the children with disabilities and children growing up in socially excluded families facing with soial deprivation like unemployment of both parents, parents alcoholism, low-income, single parenting, large families. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the project partners face similar problems of social exclusion and poverty, deterioration of psychological and physical well-being of children. Because the pandemic poses major threat to children with health problems, it is important to improve physical and emotional health of children and to adapt the environment of educational institutions in Alytus and Suwalki to new challenges. The activities like sports and health activities, workshops, PL-LT Open Game Day in Alytus or Suwalki half-marathon will help diminish children’s health problems and reduce social exclusion. Teachers/educators will try to minimise the negative impact of the pandemic on children, to motivate and to protect children integrating them with other children through different activities promoting a healthy life-style. Moreover, to respond to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and to provide social care and interaction in distance between children in Alytus and Suwalki, remote classes have been foreseen in kindergartens. Read more Description (PL): Celem projektu jest poprawa zdrowia fizycznego i emocjonalnego dzieci na pograniczu LT-PL w czasie pandemii COVID-19. Projekt został opracowany specjalnie dla dzieci niepełnosprawnych i dzieci dorastających w rodzinach wykluczonych społecznie, borykających się z takimi problemami jak bezrobocie obojga rodziców, alkoholizm rodziców, niskie dochody, samotne wychowywanie dzieci, wielodzietność. W związku z pandemią COVID-19 partnerzy projektu borykają się z podobnymi problemami wykluczenia społecznego i ubóstwa, pogorszenia dobrostanu psychicznego i fizycznego dzieci. Ponieważ pandemia stanowi poważne zagrożenie dla dzieci z problemami zdrowotnymi, ważne jest, aby poprawić ich zdrowie fizyczne i emocjonalne oraz dostosować środowisko placówek edukacyjnych w Alytusie i Suwałkach do nowych wyzwań. Działania takie jak zajęcia sportowe i zdrowotne, warsztaty, Dzień Otwartych Gier PL-LT w Alytusie czy półmaraton w Suwałkach pomogą zmniejszyć problemy zdrowotne dzieci i ograniczyć wykluczenie społeczne. Nauczyciele/edukatorzy będą starali się zminimalizować negatywny wpływ pandemii na dzieci, oraz motywować i chronić je poprzez integrację z innymi dziećmi poprzez różne działania promujące zdrowy styl życia. Ponadto, aby odpowiedzieć na wyzwania stawiane przez pandemię COVID-19 oraz zapewnić opiekę społeczną i interakcję na odległość między dziećmi w Alytusie i Suwałkach, przewidziano zajęcia zdalne w przedszkolach.
Read more Description (LT): Projekto tikslas - pagerinti Lietuvos ir Lenkijos pasienio regiono vaikų fizinę ir emocinę sveikatą COVID-19 metu. Projektas specialiai skirtas vaikams su negalia ir vaikams, augantiems socialinės atskirties šeimose, susiduriančiose su tokiais socialiniais sunkumais kaip abiejų tėvų nedarbas, tėvų alkoholizmas, mažas pajamas gaunantys vaikai, vieniši tėvai, daugiavaikės šeimos. Dėl COVID-19 pandemijos projekto partneriai Lietuvoje ir Lenkijoje susiduria su panašiomis socialinės atskirties ir skurdo problemomis, blogėjančia vaikų psichologine ir fizine gerove. Kadangi pandemija kelia didelę grėsmę sveikatos problemų turintiems vaikams, svarbu gerinti vaikų fizinę ir emocinę sveikatą, pritaikyti Alytaus ir Suvalkų ugdymo įstaigų aplinką naujiems iššūkiams. Tokie renginiai kaip sporto ir sveikatinimo užsiėmimai, seminarai, atvirų žaidynių diena Alytuje ar Suvalkų pusmaratonis padės sumažinti vaikų sveikatos problemas ir socialinę atskirtį. Mokytojai ir (arba) pedagogai stengsis sumažinti neigiamą pandemijos poveikį vaikams, motyvuoti ir apsaugoti vaikus, integruodami juos į kitus vaikus per įvairias sveiką gyvenseną skatinančias veiklas. Be to, siekiant reaguoti į COVID-19 pandemijos keliamus iššūkius ir užtikrinti socialinę priežiūrą bei vaikų bendravimą per atstumą Alytuje ir Suvalkuose, vaikų darželiuose numatyta organizuoti nuotolinės klasės.
Read more Achievements (EN): 2 sets of indoor equipment were purchased during the project implementation period and the equipment was shared among kindergartens. 13 basketball/football courts in Alytus and 3 playgrounds in Suwalki were be constructed. As a result of the project 439 children from families at risk and poverty were involved in projects activities. Partners organised some workshops, remote classes, open game day, Suwalki half marathon, opening/closure conferences.
