The project area, comprising three border regions — Burgenland, Lower Austria and the Bratislava self-government region, has two national parks — Donau-Auen National Park (hereinafter referred to as ‘NP Donau-Auen’) and Neusiedler See-Seewinkel National Park (hereinafter referred to as ‘NP Neusiedler See-See-Seewinkel’) and the part of the Donau-Auen Landscape Conservation Area (hereinafter referred to as ‘CHKO Donau-Auen’), which have a total area of 533.8 km². Nature tourism in this area hides a significant potential for the further development and quality improvement of the existing services, by improving cooperation between the administrative authorities of the national parks and the protected areas (CHKO), the coordinated increase of environmental awareness of the public and the development of the ecotourist and environmental protection education infrastructure, thereby setting out the objectives of the planned project.

Das Projektbereichsgebiet, beinhaltend drei grenznahen Regionen – Burgenland, Niederösterreich und die Selbstverwaltungsregion Bratislava, verfügt über zwei Nationalparks – Nationalpark Donau-Auen (nachstehend nur „NP Donau-Auen“) und Nationalpark Neusiedler See-Seewinkel (nachstehend nur „NP Neusiedler See-Seewinkel“) und den Teil des Landschaftsschutzgebietes Donau-Auen (nachstehend nur „CHKO Donau-Auen“), die gesamt auf einer Fläche von 533,8 km² ausgebreitet sind. Der Naturtourismus in diesem Bereich versteckt in sich ein bedeutendes Potential für die Weiterentwicklung und Qualitätssteigerung der bestehenden Dienstleistungen, mittels Verbesserung der Zusammenarbeit unter den Verwaltungsbehörden der Nationalparks sowie der Landschaftsschutzgebiete (CHKO), der koordinierten Steigerung des Umweltschutzbewusstseins der Öffentlichkeit sowie des Aufbaus der ekotouristischen und der Umweltschutzaisbildungsinfrastruktur, wodurch die Zielsetzungen des vorgesehenen Projektes dargestellt werden.

Územie projektovej oblasti, zahŕňajúce tri prihraničné regióny – Burgenland, Dolné Rakúsko a Bratislavský samosprávny kraj, disponuje dvomi národnými parkami – Národný park Donau-Auen (ďalej len „NP Donau-Auen“) a Národný park Neusiedler See-Seewinkel (ďalej len „NP Neusiedler See-Seewinkel“) a časťou Chránenej krajinnej oblasti Dunajské luhy (ďalej len „CHKO Dunajské luhy“), ktoré sa dokopy rozprestierajú na ploche 533,8 km². Prírodný turizmus v tejto oblasti skrýva značný potenciál pre rozvoj a skvalitňovanie už existujúcich služieb, prostredníctvom zlepšenia spolupráce medzi správami národných parkov a CHKO, koordinovaného zvyšovania environmentálneho povedomia verejnosti a budovania ekoturistickej a enviro-vzdelávacej infraštruktúry, čo predstavuje ciele plánovaného projektu.

Expected Results (DE):

Die Nachhaltigkeit des Projektes wird insbesondere durch die Zusammenarbeit der Projektpartner sichergestellt, die auf dem Gebiet der Informiertheit- und Bewusstseinssteigerung der Bevölkerung über und den Naturschutz sowie der Biodiversität der grenznahen Region auftreten. Die Partnerschaft ist mit dem Abkommen über die Zusammenarbeit der Partner bestätigt und in diesem Abkommen werden die Hauptmaßnahmen zur Sicherstellung der Funktionsfähigkeit der Aktivitäten nach dem Projektabschluss, definiert. Die Partner werden sich durch die Bildung gemeinsamer Bildungsprogramme für Besucherbegleiter der Landschaftsschutzgebiete und Lektoren der Naturschutzbildung verpflichten, auch nach dem Programmabschluss die neu entstandenen Programme umzusetzen. An der slowakischen Seite entsteht aus dem erneuerten Objekt des Nationaldenkmals Herrenhaus Čunovo (NKP Kaštieľ v Čunove), Ekozentrum Čunovo. In dem Ekozentrum wird ein Touristen-Infozentrum in der letzen Implementierungsphase des Projektes errichtet, welches der langfristigen Präsentation der Landschaftsschutzgebiete in der grenznahen Region dienen wird. Das Funktionieren des Ekozentrums in Čunovo wird im Sinne des Beschlusses Nr. 160/2019, bezüglich der Ausgliederung der Finanzmittel zur Sicherstellung der Projektnachhaltigkeit im Rahmen des BSK-Budgets, finanziell abgesichert. BSK bereitet ebenso aktiv die anschließenden synergischen Investitionen in das Gelände des Ekozentrums (Revitalisierung des Gartens und der Getreidekammer) im Wert von mehr als 2 Mio. EURO, wobei die Realisation in den nachfolgenden Jahren vorgesehen ist, vor.

Expected Results (SK):

Udržateľnosť projektu bude zabezpečená v prvom rade spoluprácou partnerov projektu, ktorí vystupujú v oblasti zvyšovania informovanosti a povedomia obyvateľstva o prírodnom dedičstve a ochrane prírody a biodiverzity prihraničného regiónu. Partnerstvo je potvrdené Dohodou o spolupráci partnerov a v nej definované hlavné opatrenia na zabezpečenie fungovania aktivít po ukončení projektu. Partneri sa vytvorením spoločných programov vzdelávania sprievodcov chránených území a lektorov environmentálnej výchovy zaviažu aj po ukončení programu realizovať novovzniknuté programy. Na slovenskej strane vznikne z obnoveného objektu NKP Kaštieľ v Čunove, Ekocentrum Čunovo. V Ekocentre bude zriadené turisticko-informačné centrum v poslednej fáze implementácie projektu, ktoré bude slúžiť na dlhodobú prezentáciu chránených území v prihraničnom regióne. Fungovanie Ekocentra v Čunove bude finančne zabezpečené v zmysle uznesenia č. 160/2019, o vyčlenení finančných prostriedkov na zabezpečenie udržateľnosti projektu v rámci rozpočtu BSK. BSK taktiež aktívne pripravuje nadväzujúce synergické investície do areálu Ekocentra (revitalizácia záhrady a sýpky) v hodnote vyše 2 mil. EUR, ktorých realizácia sa plánuje v nasledujúcich rokoch.
