The experience developed as part of the FRI_Start project forms the basis for this project. FRI_Start created a network of incubators (six operators covering all the Programme territories) with ‘Quality Label Marittime IT_FR’ certification, which will now form the basis of a fertile context to establish innovative, cross-border start-ups that are able to firmly position themselves in the area, favouring a focus on innovation and cross-border and global collaboration. The aim is to provide the selected start-ups with a series of specialised services, chosen from among the services tested with the first project; these services will be in addition to the standard ones provided by the incubators. This specialist assistance will be dedicated to key aspects (IPR, digitalisation, seed and early stage financing, risk finance, identification of foreign markets/customers, etc.) and will be integrated with a series of business opportunities (trade fairs, mobility). The PO Marittimo area constitutes an ecosystem with average dynamics in terms of innovation (EU reports classify France as an Innovation Follower and Italy as a Modest Innovator); in order to achieve growth, new common/shared policies are needed among innovation facilitators, to improve the innovative standards of start-ups and SMEs (92% of companies in the area) and make them more competitive on the global market. The project will be implemented by a cross-border partnership made up of important players in terms of innovation/business creation and will extend to companies across the entire PO Marittimo area, based on the collaborations established when the Fristart incubator network was set up (this network is open to new incubators that wish to join). The level of competitiveness achieved by the start-ups being supported with specialised services will be tested at the end of the project, through a cross-border business plan competition.

Il punto di partenza del progetto è l'esperienza maturata con il progetto FRI_Start, che ha permesso la creazione di una rete di incubatori (6 soggetti gestori con copertura di tutti i territori del Programma) certificata Quality Label MarittimeIT_FR come base di un contesto fertile per la nascita di startup innovative transnazionali in grado di posizionarsi saldamente sull’area,favorendone la propensione all’innovazione e alla collaborazione transfrontaliera e globale. La finalità è quella di andare ad erogare alle startup selezionate una serie di servizi specialistici, individuati all'interno del catalogo dei servizi testato con il primo progetto, aggiuntivi rispetto a quelli standard erogati dagli incubatori. L’assistenza specialistica sarà dedicata ad aspetti chiave (IPR, digitalizzazione, finanziamento Seed ed Early Stage, finanza di rischio, individuazione mercati/clientela estera, ecc.) ed integrata con una serire di opportunità di business (fiere, mobilità). L’area PO Marittimo costituisce un ecosistema mediamente dinamico per l’innovazione(Rapporti UE classificano la Francia tra gli Innovation Followers e l’Italia tra i Modest Innovators);per la sua crescita sono necessarie nuove politiche comuni/condivise da parte dei facilitatori dell’innovazione,per migliorare gli standard innovativi delle startup e delle PMI (92%delle imprese del territorio)e renderle più competitive sul mercato globale. Il progetto sarà realizzato da un partenariato transfrontaliero formato da importanti attori dell’innovazione/creazione d’impresa e si estenderà alle imprese di tutto il territorio del PO Marittimo sulla base delle collaborazioni instaurate a seguito della nascita della rete di incubatori Fristart, rete aperta all'adesione di nuove strutture di incubazione che voranno aderire. Il livello di competitività raggiunto dalle startup assistite con i servizi specialistici sarà testato al termine del progetto attraverso una business plan competition transfrontaliera

Le point de départ du projet est l’expérience acquise avec le projet FRI_Start,qui a permis la création d’un réseau d’incubateurs (6 sujets de gestion couvrant l’ensemble des territoires du programme) et certifiés par le label de qualité Maritime IT_FR comme base d’un contexte fertile la création de startups transnationales innovantes capables de se positionner fermement sur le territoire,favorisant ainsi leur propension à l'innovation et à la collaboration transfrontalière et globale.L'objectif est de fournir aux startups sélectionnées une série de services spécialisés,identifiés dans le catalogue de services testés avec le premier projet,en plus des services standard fournis par les incubateurs.L'assistance spécialisée sera dédiée aux aspects clés (DPI,numérisation,financement Seed and Early Stage,financement du risque,identification du marché/clients étrangers,etc.) et intégrée à une série d'opportunités commerciales (salons,mobilité).L’espace maritime PO constitue un écosystème modérément dynamique pour l’innovation (les rapports de l’UE classent la France parmi les adeptes de l’innovation et l’Italie parmi les innovateurs modestes).Pour sa croissance, de nouvelles politiques communes/partagées sont nécessaires. «innovation,pour améliorer les normes innovantes des startups et des PME (92% des entreprises locales) et les rendre plus compétitives sur le marché mondial.Le projet sera réalisé par un partenariat transfrontalier formé d'acteurs importants en innovation/création d'entreprise et s'étendra aux entreprises de l'ensemble de l'OP Maritime sur la base des collaborations établies suite à la création du réseau d'incubateurs Fristart,réseau ouvert à l’adhésion de nouvelles installations d’incubation qu’ils souhaiteraient rejoindre.Le niveau de compétitivité atteint par les startups assistées par des services spécialisés sera testé à la fin du projet par le biais d'un concours de plans d'enterprise transfrontaliers

Achievements (EN):

The starting point of the project was the experience of the FRI_START project, which created a network of certified incubators capable of offering selected innovative start-ups a range of joint and integrated specialized services in order to strengthen the competitiveness of companies and improve their performance improve concepts of innovation and internationalization. Internationalization: cross-border networking with entrepreneurs/mentors, identification of foreign markets/customers, etc. IPR: Knowledge of intellectual property strategy and assistance with patent filings. Environmental management: Support in identifying sustainable development strategies All services are accessible thanks to the creation of the ONLINE PLATFORM FRI_START2, a virtual place of creation, development and meeting for start-ups, moderators, financiers, experts and companies in the cross-border sector. In order to take part, start-ups had to adhere to the public call for proposals. The young, innovative companies were supported by a highly qualified team: Individual tutors who have supported young companies throughout their journey. Entrepreneurial mentors The subject matter experts identified through the public announcement and included in the expert database FRI_START2.
