Objectives: The work carried out by the International Institute for Research and Innovation on Ageing demonstrates the need to deepen aspects related to ageing. Specifically, this project aims to improve knowledge about key aspects such as loneliness, violence, care expectations and therapeutic itineraries. This knowledge will be placed in value through its application in the definition of public policies and the development of technological solutions for the improvement of the quality of life. The similarities of the two regions make it possible to focus efforts to improve the impact of the work carried out and the international dissemination of results. Activities: 1 Innovation for the health of the elderly. 2 Contemporary problems and social challenges of aging. 3 Public policies for ageing. 4 Technological solutions for an aging society. 5 Management and Coordination. 6 Communication. Results: The realisation of this project will allow the development of new models of care for the elderly that take advantage of the advantages of new technologies to facilitate the process of ageing in rural areas and that take into account the sustainability and efficiency of public services. In addition, the cross-border nature of the project will improve the standards of interoperability between the two countries. This will benefit not only the elderly users of health services, but also health professionals and the health system as a whole to the extent that the project contributes to the sustainability of the system and to the improvement of health and well-being indicators.

Objetivos: Los trabajos realizados por el Instituto Internacional de Investigación e Innovación del Envejecimiento ponen de manifiesto la necesidad de profundizar en aspectos relacionados con el envejecimiento. En concreto, con este proyecto se pretende mejorar los conocimientos acerca de a aspectos claves como la soledad, la violencia, las expectativas de cuidados y los itinerarios terapéuticos. Estos conocimientos serán puestos en valor mediante su aplicación en la definición de políticas públicas y el desarrollo de soluciones tecnológicas para la mejora de la calidad de vida. Las semejanzas de ambas regiones permiten focalizar esfuerzos para conseguir mejorar el impacto de los trabajos realizados y la diseminación internacional de los resultados. Actividades: 1 Innovación para la salud de los ancianos. 2 Problemáticas y desafíos sociales contemporáneos del envejecimiento. 3 Políticas públicas para el envejecimiento. 4 Soluciones tecnológicas para una sociedad envejecida. 5 Gestión y Coordinación. 6 Comunicación. Resultados: La realización de este proyecto permitirá desarrollar nuevos modelos de cuidados a ancianos que aprovechan las ventajas de las nuevas tecnologías para facilitar el proceso de envejecimiento en zonas rurales y que tienen en cuenta la sostenibilidad y eficiencia de los servicios públicos. Adicionalmente, el carácter transfronterizo del proyecto permitirá mejorar los estándares de interoperabilidad entre ambos países. Esto beneficiará no solo a los ancianos usuarios de los servicios de salud, también a los profesionales sanitarios y al sistema sanitario en su totalidad en la medida en que el proyecto contribuye a la sostenibilidad del sistema y a la mejora de los indicadores de salud y bienestar.
