Objectives: The project works to design and apply environmental improvement systems for industrial estates in the Northern Portugal-Castilla y León cooperation area, through the implementation of Nature Based Solutions (NBS). Environmental improvement (but also social, economic and cultural) will result from the combined incorporation of renaturalisation patterns and sustainable urban drainage systems, both in public and private spaces and buildings, located along a corridor that we call green-blue, previously defined. The NBS will materialise in two pilot projects: one in the Argales industrial estate, in Valladolid and another in the CANTARIAS industrial estate, in Braganza. Results: — Improvement of air quality, urban island heat in polygons and infiltration of rainwater. — Demonstration of the effectiveness and applicability of NBS in the environmental improvement of industrial estates and installed companies. — Generation, in the area of cooperation, of a new culture on the need to have nature to improve the quality of life of people and the protection of the planet. — Increasing the competitiveness of polygon companies due to their commitment to climate change mitigation and adaptation. — Training of staff in NBS and generation of green employment. — Increase the economic value of the buildings and landscape of the urban space.

Objetivos: El proyecto trabaja para diseñar y aplicar sistemas de mejora ambiental de los polígonos industriales del área de cooperación Norte de Portugal-Castilla y León, a través de la implementación de Soluciones Basadas en la Naturaleza (NBS -Nature Based Solutions-). La mejora ambiental (pero también social, económica y cultural) derivará de la incorporación combinada de pautas de renaturalización y de sistemas de drenaje urbano sostenible, tanto en espacios y edificios públicos como privados, ubicados a lo largo de un corredor que denominamos verde-azul, previamente definido. Las NBS se materializarán en dos proyectos piloto: uno en el Polígono industrial Argales, en Valladolid y otro en el Polígono industrial Cantarias, en Braganza. Resultados: - Mejora de la calidad del aire, de la isla urbana de calor en los polígonos y de la infiltración de agua de lluvia. - Demostración de la efectividad y aplicabilidad de las NBS en la mejora ambiental de los polígonos industriales y de las empresas instaladas. - Generación, en el área de cooperación, de una nueva cultura sobre la necesidad de contar con la naturaleza para mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas y la protección del planeta. - Incremento de la competitividad de las empresas de los polígonos debido a su compromiso con la mitigación y adaptación al cambio climático. - Capacitación de personal en NBS y generación de empleo verde. - Incremento del valor económico de los inmuebles y paisajístico del espacio urbano.
