The ageing of society represents a major challenge for the entire Upper Rhine region. Given the break-up of traditional models of family care, the aim is to find suitable answers to the need for assistance and loss of autonomy as a result of ageing. In this context, the small project seeks to invent new forms of coexistence for all ages, taking into account fragile life situations and fostering people’s neighbourly relationships. The aim is to jointly implement three model projects at local level in three institutions on the German and French side (Communauté de Communes Sauer-Pechelbronn, Bollschweil Municipality, Strasbourg — Rotterdam district). Residents are involved in the design of housing models and social projects that ensure the integration of people into age-related fragile living situations. The results of this experiment will serve as a decision-making tool to find sustainable solutions to the challenges of ageing society.

Dans un contexte où le vieillissement de la population représente un enjeu majeur dans toute la région du Rhin supérieur et face à l'éclatement des solidarités familiales, le microprojet « Vivre et habiter ensemble », consiste à développer des solutions combinant l'habitat, le soin et le lien social pour faire face à la vulnérabilité liée à l'âge et à la précarité. Pour ce faire, ce microprojet s'intéresse à la participation citoyenne, de part et d'autre de la frontière et au "vivre et habiter dans son village, dans son quartier, même en situation de fragilité". Il vise à la réalisation d’une expérimentation menée de façon conjointe sur trois sites de part et d’autre de la frontière (Communauté de Communes Sauer-Pechelbronn, Gemeinde Bollschweil, Strasbourg - quartier Rotterdam). Les habitants seront associés à la définition d’habitats et de projets sociaux permettant de préserver l’inclusion de personnes fragilisées par l'âge. Les résultats de cette expérimentation devront servir d’outils à la décision pour la mise en place de solutions viables permettant de faire face aux défis du vieillissement de la population.

Die Überalterung der Gesellschaft stellt für die gesamte Oberrheinregion eine große Herausforderung dar. Angesichts des Aufbrechens der traditionellen Modelle familiärer Fürsorge geht es darum, geeignete Antworten auf Hilfsbedarf und Autonomieverlust infolge des Älterwerdens zu finden. In diesem Rahmen versucht das Kleinprojekt, neue Formen des Zusammenlebens für jedes Alter zu erfinden und dabei fragile Lebenssituationen zu berücksichtigen und mitmenschliche Nachbarschaftsbeziehungen zu fördern. Ziel ist die gemeinsame Durchführung von drei Modellprojekten auf lokaler Ebene in drei Einrichtungen auf deutscher und französischer Seite (Communauté de Communes Sauer-Pechelbronn, Gemeinde Bollschweil, Straßburg - Stadtviertel Rotterdam). Die Bewohner werden an der Gestaltung von Wohnmodellen und Sozialprojekten beteiligt, die die Eingliederung von Menschen in altersbedingt fragilen Lebenssituationen gewährleisten. Die Ergebnisse dieses Experiments werden als Entscheidungshilfe dienen, um nachhaltige Lösungen für die Herausforderungen einer Überalterung der Gesellschaft zu finden.
