Description (EN):

The area affected by the project has exceptionally high / valuable natural heritage in terms of endemic species. Presentation of natural and cultural heritage in the cross-border area was not a subject of funding in the past, there is no cross-border project that jointly represents the natural heritage. Project partners dont have adequate infrastructure and they are not mutually connected, there are no modern approach to natural heritage. There is no educated staff which could present natural heritage in modern way, in accordance with 21. century. This is the first time in the Dinarid locality that there will be a joint initiative that will present the natural heritage and its endemic. By implementing this project partners will build new and adapt existing infrastructure. Three locations in cross-border area will be equipped with virtual reallity and presentation of natural heritage through augmented reallity will be installed. For the first time, visitors will be able to visit all the places that have extremely valuable plant and animal values (endems) in three states and in such a way to see the most significant of the natural heritage of the area. Twelve (12) park staff members will attend a 40-hour hands-on course based on the Interpret Europe methodology and become certified interpretive guides. Using connection between all three partners there is one joint touristic offer. Built and adapted interpretation centres, interactive contents and IT mobile applications, inovative energy efficient boats with electric engine charged with solar panel, modern observatory and bird watchtowers built and equiped. Success of this project will contribute to increased number of educated and newly-employed staff. The main target groups of the projects are tourists, citizens, travel agencies and education system. Considering all three parks are located near big tourist citys it is estimated that large number tourist will visit this new joint tourist route.

Expected Results (EN): Increase in arrivals of non-residents staying in hotels and similar establishments

Expected Outputs (EN):

Results which will be made during the implementation of the project are: 1.New jointly made tourist offer. 2.Trained personnel in the fields of natural and cultural heritage and preservation, biodiversity, endemic and endangered species, ornitho and ihtio fauna and flora for the purposes of transferring gained knowledge to visitors and thus raise awareness about protection of endemic species and nature in general. 3. Adapted and equipped watchtowers for bird watching. 4. Improved tourist destination. 5. Pathway adaptation for purposes of instructive trail. 6.Infrastructure renovation. 7.Established interpretation centers. 8.Development of multilingual promotional, tourist brochures and promotional material. All these results contribute significantly to the program result. All three parks are located near tourist destinations with large number of tourists visiting.Offers which will be established and improved during the implementation could attract tourists more than usual. In order to increase arrivals of non residents and increase their staying in these areas project partners will make optimal promotional strategy which will contribute in achievement of the result indicator. In days when partners meet for their regular period meetings, round tables with hotel owners and managers, private accommodation places owners and tourist agencies representatives will be held. With their help project partners will promote activities and offers in the best way. In order to reach as many visitors as possible, tourists agencies will make arrangements for our jointly made offer.Because of their location, and using jumbo billboards and other promotion throught social media, it is predicted to easily acheive reech a number of 100K general public. By the method of statistics collected on the number of new non-residents who have stayed in nearby hotels or similar establishments, we can have insight if the demand for a new tourist offer contributed to an increase in overnight stays.
