Territoires très dynamiques, les bassins genevois et annéciens ont une évolution démographique soutenue. Les projets d’aménagement, de constructions d’équipements et d’infrastructures se développent et nécessitent la gestion de quantités croissantes de déchets inertes. Les entreprises constatent une raréfaction des sites de prise en charge de ces déchets, et les distances parcourues augmentent, impactant le coût des travaux tout comme les territoires par les externalités négatives de leur gestion et notamment la pollution liée au transport.Le projet VADEME propose de réunir des partenaires issus du monde de l’entreprise et du secteur public, garant de l’aménagement des territoires. Il s’inscrit dans une démarche de durabilité environnementale et vise à optimiser la gestion des déchets inertes minéraux sur le territoire transfrontalier. Il s’agit :- d’analyser la situation actuelle et ses impacts sur l’environnement, - de développer un process innovant de fertilisation des déchets minéraux pour les transformer en terre végétale de substitution, - et enfin d’identifier les conditions à réunir et le jeu des acteurs pour permettre la mise en place d’une économie circulaire de la gestion des déchets minéraux et diminuer ainsi leur impact sur le territoire.

Very dynamic territories, the Geneva and Annecian basins have a sustained demographic change. Development, equipment and infrastructure projects are developing and require the management of increasing amounts of inert waste. Companies are seeing a scarcity of waste management sites, and the distances travelled are increasing, impacting the cost of the works as well as the territories by the negative externalities of their management and in particular the pollution linked to transport.The VADEME project proposes to bring together partners from the corporate and public sectors, guaranteeing land use planning. It is part of an approach to environmental sustainability and aims to optimise the management of mineral inert waste on cross-border territory. The aim is:- to analyse the current situation and its impact on the environment, — to develop an innovative process of fertilisation of mineral waste and to transform it into alternative plant land, and finally to identify the conditions to be met and the players involved in enabling the establishment of a circular economy in the management of mineral waste and thus reducing its impact on the territory.
