Description (EN): The project supports the development of joint research in the area of solid biofuels from raw materials available on both sides of the Prut river.

Expected Outputs (EN):

Analysis of the current stage with the elaboration of the research strategy (2). 1. Data on the current stage in the potential assessment process of the vegetal biomass for energy purposes. 2. The algorithm to study the biomass potential of the end product (pellets, briquettes). 3. Organized information for the intermediate report. Biomass potential analysis (raw material) (2). 1. Data on the calorific value, moisture and ash content, chemical composition of the samples selected for analysis. 2. The methodology to establish the sustainable potential of the vegetal biomass found on both banks of the Prut River. 3. Vegetable biomass samples and the experimental processing model to study them. Chemical analysis of the selected biomass (2). 1. Additional data on the calorific value, moisture and ash content, chemical composition of the samples selected for analysis. 2. Data on the lignin, cellulose and hemicellulose content in the selected biomass samples. 3. Data on the content of C, H, S, N and Cl in the selected biomass samples. Morphological analysis and establishment of optimal recipes for biomass blend (2) - Optimal recipes of blends and mixtures of raw materials, specific to the climatic and geographical conditions of the Prut region for the production of ENPlus pellets and briquettes.
