Description (EN):

The project aims to improve the health conditions of the populations from Galați County and Hîncești District, by deploying cross-border actions which ensure access to improved health infrastructure and services. Two infrastructure health units in the border area will be improved - the construction of a Paedriatics Pavilion and Internal Medicine sections within Tîrgu Bujor Town Hospital in Romania, and the rehabilitation of the Hîncești Health Center in the Republic of Moldova. Additionally, the project will ensure cross-border training of medical-sanitary personnel through courses, exchanges of experience and international conferences.

Delivered Outputs (EN):

Exchange of experience (1) Training course (1) International conference (1) - CME credited. Public information campaign (1) Training and information activities in health field jointly organized (4) - 3 training activities (the exchange of experience, the training session in Hincesti and the international conference in Galati) and one information campaign jointly organised by the two project partners One new building with adequate structure and equipment to operate as Paediatrics Unit within the Tg Bujor Hospital (1) One rehabilitated and revamped building adequately equipped where Hincesti Public Medical-Sanitary Health Centre Institution could perform its activity (1) Newly built/rehabilitated and equipped medical sections. The paediatrics and internal medicine sections of Tg Bujor Town Hospital as well as the radiology section within Hincesti Health Centre shall be revamped and obtain operating permits (3) Operational medical-sanitary units, accessible to those interested. 2 medical-sanitary units shall be opened to the public, ready to answer the requests for medical care of those interested, offering high quality services (2) 2 local authorities owning developed sanitary infrastructure at county/district level. 2 sanitary units in the patrimony of Galati County Council and Hincesti District Council shall be revamped and their health service supply capacity shall increase accordingly (2)
