Description (EN):

One landmark of the common cultural heritage shared by Romania and Republic of Moldova is related to the poet Mihai Eminescu. The project capitalizes on the cultural tradition to create a touristic cross border route and a variety of cultural events in Botosani (Romania) and Bălți (Republic of Moldova). Both communities are developing updated sustainable tourism strategies with a robust cross-border dimension.

Expected Results (EN):

2 cultural lanscapes/sites in urban area of Balti and Botosani capitalized and improved with support of the project by including in touristic circuit of Botosani and Balti municipalities (2). Increased the touristic visibility of the Botosani and Balti municipalities with one created and developed touristic cross border cultural route and 2 more cross-border cultural events/artistic manifestations organized (2). 2 Public institutions in the field of education and culture and 30 touristic agents/NGOs in tourism field and related sectors have capacities to promote common cultural heritage and to implement a strategic document for tourism promotion, including Eminescian cross-border route (6). Min 50 youths from both banks of the River Prut aware about common Romanian-Moldovan cultural heritage, stimulated and motivated to study and research the Eminescian opera (4).

Expected Outputs (EN):

One touristic cross-border cultural route created at the cross-border area Balti-Botosani “Eminescu one culture-one route”. (1) 12 Cross-border cultural events/artistic manifestations organized within cultural sites/touristic objectives restored and improved with support of the project. (12) 2 Elaborated tourism promotion strategies for Balti and Botosani municipalities including Eminescian cross-border route. (2) 3 cross-border communication and exchange of experience and best practices events organized within the project. (3) 4 cultural and educational cross-border activities organized in Balti and Botosani. (4) Cross-border cultural tourist route in Botosani and Balti Municipalities. (2)
