Description (EN):

Overall objective: Improve the volume, quality and visibility of tourism related to valorisation of cultural and natural heritage and values Specific objective(s): To include transhumance in the tourism offer of Kosovo and Montenegro. The foreseen activities within the project are: - Research conducted in at least 90 katuns that have potential for tourism offer e awareness on katuns role in tourism offer. - List of families and katuns interested in providing tourism services developed. - Specific infrastructure improvements for at least 50 katun families for provision of services (tasting points, huts, camping sites, solar systems). - Development of tourism services with katun families (gastro offer, typical products, handicrafts, horse riding, mushrooms and berries etc). - Development of thematic trails linking katuns and local families providing tourism services. - Development of printed promotional materials for katuns and thematic trails – presentation of families and their services. - Development of web portal for katun tourism. - Organization of familiarization trip for tour operators to katun families offering services.

Expected Results (EN): Expected results of the project are: Katuns mobilized for provision of services in tourism. Tourism products and services developed around katuns. Cultural, natural and agricultural values of katuns promoted.

Expected Outputs (EN):

Expected outputs of the project are: - 90 katuns and 150 families visited and baseline information collected from them, publication of report with the finding and recommendations. - A list of at least 50 katuns and 120 families who will be targeted with further activities developed. - 100 solar systems procured, 15 resting pints set-up, 10 camps, 20 huts. - 100 rural families trained in provision of tourism services, at least 80 rural women economically empowered. - 200km of thematic trail signposted, new tourism product developed in active tourism. - 4000 promotional brochures printed. - Web portal upgraded with materials from this action. - At least 20 participants in fam trip, at least 6 agencies actively offering katuns as tourism offer, at least 5 reports on this activity published.
