Contribution to wider strategies and policies:

  • EUStrategyAdriaticIonianRegion The EUSAIR is facing unprecedented challenges, from the post-pandemic recovery to the green and digital revolution, which are increasing disparities between central and peripheral regions and inland areas within the same region. The EUSAIR is a long-term strategic policy framework aiming to promote economic and social prosperity and growth in the region by improving its attractiveness, competitiveness, and connectivity. 3 countries in partnership are actively implementing the goals of the strategy - Croatia, Slovenia and Italy, with experiences also chairing the EUSAIR and organizing EUSAIR Forums - Croatia in 2016, Italy in 2018 and Slovenia in 2021. Slovenia is cochairing the TSG3-environmental quality with BiH, and TSG4-sustainable tourism is cochaired by CRO. These are two TSGs that are most connected to the work and results/solution of C2T. Slovenia holds the “Facility Points” by which C2T will use as a network to deliver the results of the project to the whole EUSAIR area. PTP is directly involved in EUSAIR as the activities of international entrepreneurial learning of youth from the whole EUSAIR region are part of EUSAIR Forum every year.
  • EUStrategyAlpineRegion 3 countries of partnership take part of EUSALP (Slovenia, Germany, Austria and Italy); but this strategy is extremely strong also due to regions envolved, such as BW and FVG. Slovenia is the first country that chaired EUSALP in 2016, Tirol in 2018, 2022 AR Bolzano and Trento took over presidency, focusing on climate change and climate protection. Many activities will be dedicated in tackling the process of ecological and technological transition, innovativeness and digitalisation. C2T contributes to the effective implementation of the objective 1-Fair access to job opportunities, building on the high competitiveness of the Region in all 3 actions (To develop an effective research and innovation ecosystem, To increase the economic potential of strategic sectors and To improve the adequacy of labour market, education and training.
  • EUStrategyBalticSeaRegion Germany takes part of EUSDBR and is part of the C2T consortium. One of three objectives of the strategy is to increase the prosperity of the region, taking into account that there are policy areas, like PA Tourism, PA Culture, PA Innovation and PA Education which could learn and match with tools and mechanisms developed within the project C2T. This is particularly important since all the policy areas must take into account EU climate and environmental policy objectives which is the core of the project C2T.
  • EUStrategyDanubeRegion 7 countries (Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Czeck Republic, Slovakia) from partnership are directly involved in activities and implementation of EUSDR, including leading the PACs. EUSDR recognised the importance of knowing the needs in the territory and developed tools and mechanisms with the action “EUSDR Needs Assessment for Closer Cooperation between PACs & Relevant Stakeholders” - focuses on
  • EUSDR stakeholder engagement plan (Annex III). Project C2T contribute especially to activities of PA7-Knowledge Society, PA8-competitiveness of entreprises and PA9-people and skills that can acquire and use knowledge, methods and tools developed within the C2T project.
  • EuropeanGreenDeal C2T will efficiently tackle environmental challenges and climate change as it is focused on using local green resources and activities. With the focus on skilling the digitalisation it brings closer urban/rural areas and offers equal opportunities to all involved. In C2T it is all about the transformative potential of CCI and sustainable tourism and other industries in order to boost the twin digital and green transition.Based on the transition, all sectors of the economy will have the opportunity to meet the challenge that Europe becomes the first climate neutral continent in the world. In C2T the green and digital transition is “fact” and it is also an opportunity for the CE industry for creating markets for clean technologies and products, with the effect of helping create sustainable, local and well-paid green jobs across Central Europe.
  • TerritorialAgenda2030 C2T has an impact on cohesion policies as it brings an unifying effect of activities in the CE region. It affects the CE dimension of sector policies (CCIs, sustainable tourism and others) at all levels. Decision-makers and public administration take active part of the project and will benefit from its results also in the future, supporting the DG transition. C2T brings change in CE and it is a future oriented and inclusive project that contributes also in achieving Sustainable Development Goals. The project is aligned with “Just Europe” that offers future perspectives for all places and people, as well as “Green Europe” that protects common livelihood and shapes societal transition.
  • Other The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability. C2T is contributing to achieve these goals, especially with upskilling and delivering on creativity, green knowhow technology and digitalisation. The C2T contribution is especially connected to the goal 8 - decent work and economic growth as it promotes sustained economic growth, higher levels of productivity and technological innovation. Encouraging entrepreneurship and job creation are key to this. C2T is also supporting the goal 9 - industry, innovations and infrastructure as innovation is a crucial driver for economic growth and development. Technological progress is also key to finding lasting solutions to both economic and environmental challenges. Promoting sustainable industries, and investing in scientific research and innovation are all important ways to facilitate sustainable development. C2T also challenge of digital transition because bridging digital divide is crucial to ensure equal access to information and knowledge, as well as foster innovation and entrepreneurship.
