Description (EN):

Overall objective: Improve the volume, quality and visibility of tourism related to valorisation of cultural and natural heritage and values Specific objectives of the project are: Support rural tourism by developing tourism offer on village level. The foreseen activities within the project are: - Activity 1.1 – Transfer of know-how from Montenegro to Kosovo on developing rural tourism service providers network - Activity 1.2 – Development of knowledge base for rural tourism providers using EuroGites network (adaptation of tools and materials for local use) - Activity 1.3 – Capacity building of animators and service providers in villages - Activity 2.1 – Selection of 15 most attractive villages for rural tourism and mapping of resources in those villages - Activity 2.2 – Development of rustic routes combining natural and cultural attractions and service providers - Activity 2.3 – Improving tourism infrastructure in villages - Activity 2.4 – Pilot activities with selected rural tourism households for successful provision of services - Activity 3.1 – Set-up of info boards in villages showing village offer - Activity 3.2 – Development of promotional materials for rustic routes (signs, brochures, videos, web section and fam tours) - Activity 3.3 – Organization of 4 promotional events in villages based on cultural or natural heritage;.

Expected Results (EN): Expected results of the project are: - Result 1: Capacities for rural tourism increased - Result 2: Tourism offer in villages developed - Result 3: Tourism offer in villages promoted.

Expected Outputs (EN):

Expected project outputs are: - 2 workshops organized with 20 participants on ransfer of know-how on developing rural tourism service providers network; - 5 tools adapted for utilization in Kosovo (Guide for beginners – comprehensive version and short version, Tourism dictionary, RuralTour non-obligatory common standards and Guide for households on interior decoration of households); - 30 persons trained in animation and service provision on both sides of the border and 2 study trips for 20 participants organized; - 15 villages selected for tourism improvements and mapping of resources conducted in all 15 communities; - Thematic, rustic trails developed in all 15 communities; - Specific tourism infrastructure set up in all 15 communities; - 40 rural households conducting pilot activities and supported; - 15 info boards set up in local communities; - Signs for each point on thematic routes developed (at least 75 signs) - Promotional material developed and disseminated; - Two fam trips organized in Kosovo and Montenegro; - 4 promotional events in villages based on cultural or natural heritage organized.
