ADRIJOROUTES tackles the need to mitigate the environmental and social impacts of mass touristic flows in the programme area and to reduce the overwhelming dependence of the main Adriatic touristic destinations on massive coastal tourism, that put at risk the social and economic resilience of local communities. ADRIJOROUTES overall objective is to boost the sustainability, social inclusiveness and digitalization of the touristic sector of the Adriatic area, by promoting sustainable touristic experiences based on cultural assets of at least 16 Adriatic ports. ADRIJOROUTES engages cultural and touristic actors of the programme area and beyond in the valorization of ports cultural assets as gateway for green and digital cultural destinations consistent with the social wellbeing of local communities. The co-definition of a cross-border strategy and action plan with the involvement of Port Innovation Crews, local and regional partnerships on culture and tourism, allows to integrate the CB port cultural assets in the social and tourism policies and to valorize the ports cultural heritage of the involved ports as sustainable, alternative tourist experience and asset to boost social integration of port. The 7 co-developed ADRIJOUROUTES, composed of different experiences, physical and digital, of the involved ports and territories give a taste of the Adriatic as a cluster of cultures and destinations with common origins. The ADRIJOROUTES are digitally enhanced through the Cross Border living museum that allows a combination of offline cultural information and digital experiences, suitable in particular for disabled passengers and kids. The valorization of port cultural assets at cross-border and Adriatic-Ionian macroregional level allows to discover the connections between the ports cultural heritage and the common roots of the different local cultures, intertwined in a continuous social and cultural dialogue, showing the cultural richness of the Adriatic territories.

Actual Achievements (EN):

The first semester of ADRIJOROUTES project has been characterized by the launch of partnership collaboration for starting the realization of the foreseen project activities. After the closure of the "contents revision" phase, all administrative and contracting steps with the funding body (Italy-Croatia Programme) and among the partners have been carried out and concluded with success. All the involved entities met on-line at the end of February 2024 to sum up the project objectives, the expected outputs and results as well as the path to be follwed to reach them (project activities and intermediate achievements). Also, this context has been useful to provide any clarification about the project implementation phase and/or to point out any potential or actual criticality. The Central Adriatic Ports Authority, which has the role of Lead Partner, coordinated the meeting. First action in which project partners dedicated own efforts has been the engagement of the local Port Innovation Crews (PICs). In other words they created a sort of a community of stakeholders to be further involved and to collaborate with during the project implementation, in particular for the definition and elaboration of the Cross-border strategy and Action Plan, for the development of the ADRIJOROUTES and for the creation of the Immersive cultural experiences. Involed stakeholders have been primarily selected among those ones who already collaborated with the project partners in the previous IT-HR 2014-2020 REMEMBER project; in fact, one of the scope of the current ADRIJOROUTES project is to use and improve what it has been produced and delivered thanks to the REMEMBER project. The draft version of the Cross-Border Strategy has been released and shared with the partners. During next weeks it will be further developed, also with the support of their PICs. With the aim to identify and develop the ADRIJOROUTES (no.7 in total are expected) a pilot action guidelines have been drafted and released. It has been a joint work where project partners provided own inputs, discussed about the contents of the guidelines and made final review to adopt the document. Despite each ADRIJOROUTES will focus on a specific theme/topic, the pilot action guidelines will ensure a common way and method for their creation, able to bring them as a unique initiative to modify touristic flows and allow tourists to explore new and less-known areas and cultural attractions of the Italian and Croatian ports' areas and their surroundings. A significative and very impacting event was held in Ancona by the Central Adriatic Ports Authority. It has been an event organized with a cross-border and international approach, where speakers, who were invited to participate to the two foreseen panels and to have their speeches, came from different political, geographical and economic sectors. This ensured very interesting and deepen contributions for all the attendees. Another project objective will be the realization of local Living Museums. In some cases, preparatory actions like executive design or agreements with other Organizations were still to be completed at the time of the project proposal submission; but significative progress were made during past months by the concerned project partners. During this initial project phase, the Lead Partner has awarded the external assistance to ensure a good project management and partnership coordination as well as a sound financial management, in line with the expectations of the Italy-Croatia Programme. Project and Partners' Management Units have been created and appointed the communication managers. All start-up activities useful to begin with the project implementation in the right way have been carried out with success and, in this sense, an "Internal Regulation Plan" was delivered in order to facilitate and support the partnership in adopting the proper the project management techniques, also by the financial point of view. Focusing on the risks in which the project could fall in, on how to avoid or mitigate them as well as on how to assess the relevance and the adequacy of implemented project activities, of the released deliverables and outputs, and of the achievement of expected project results, a "Risk Management and Evaluation Plan" has been drafted by the Lead Partner and then approved and adopted by the whole partnership. It contains all main information, instructions and tools able to give a clear project overview in terms of different kind of monitoring, quality assurance, risk analysis and risk management and project evaluation. During the period, the ADRIJOROUTES project continued its steady and coordinated progress, with all foreseen activities being implemented across the different work packages. Each Project Partner remained actively involved, either by delivering expected outputs or contributing to shared efforts. The Lead Partner ensured the smooth coordination of the partnership and the consistent advancement of activities. One of the main aspects of the implementation phase was the strong and continuous collaboration with local Port Innovation Crews (PICs). These stakeholder groups played an essential role at the territorial level, actively supporting the identification of local Points of Interest (POIs) and selecting those best suited to be enhanced with new phygital content and to be included within the ADRIJOROUTES itineraries. Through participatory meetings and stakeholder consultations, potential collaborations with other regional or cross-border initiatives aligned with the goals of ADRIJOROUTES were explored with the PICs. A major milestone was reached with the finalization and official approval of the ADRIJOROUTES Cross-Border Strategy, formally adopted by all partners during a Project consortium Meeting. Following this key step, the partnership started focusing on drafting the Action Plan, which will guide the practical implementation of the strategy's vision and priorities. Another significative achievement was the successful organization of the 2nd Cross-Border Event, hosted by PP7 – Zadar Port Authority on January 23, 2025, at the “Center for Creative Industries” in Zadar. The event, titled “Offering alternative tourist routes in cruise destinations in terms of sustainability and reducing traffic on the most frequented tourist routes”, was structured in two sessions: keynote speeches followed by a panel discussion. The event attracted over 80 participants, including professionals from the tourism and cruise sectors, public authorities, cultural institutions, and academia, promoting dialogue on sustainable tourism practices and innovative approaches to cultural heritage valorization. Throughout the semester, the project’s communication and dissemination (C&D) activities remained vibrant and proactive, in line with the project's C&D Strategy. Highlights included: - The production and publication of a short promotional video on the Cross-Border Strategy, shared via the project’s YouTube channel; - The project’s presence at high-profile events such as the Adriatic Sea Forum and Sea Trade Cruise Med; - Regular updates on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X) and on the official project website; - The publication of articles and promotional banners, both online and in printed formats, to increase project visibility. In the framework of the Adrijoroutes Project partners worked intensively to identify and analyze relevant POIs through local meetings and surveys, involving stakeholders to ensure the inclusion of culturally significant and strategically relevant sites. A key moment was the technical meeting held on December 11, 2024, organized by KIP, as Work Package Leader. In this session, the consortium approved seven proposed tourist routes, summarizing the contributions of all partners. Clear definitions and thematic focus were assigned to each route. Following this meeting, a series of one-to-one online meetings with the PPs were conducted to ensure the harmonized adaptation of the seven routes to each territory’s characteristics. A dedicated digital tool was developed to consolidate all identified POIs at the route level. In addition, the partners defined which PP would contribute to each route and who would act as the “lead partner” for its implementation. The finalized set of routes, including their names and assigned POIs, was presented and validated at the project meeting held on January 22, 2025, in Zadar. Each route integrates a resilient, digital, and green approach, responding to the growing demand for inclusive and sustainable tourism experiences and aiming to unlock the economic and cultural potential of the involved areas. The routes were designed to offer an engaging experience while promoting cultural heritage, environmental responsibility, and digital innovation. Although the practical implementation of the ADRIJOROUTES cultural offer is officially foreseen starting from next months, several partners have already begun with realization of some preparatory activities. These included for example: - Procurement of necessary equipment; - Initial stakeholder involvement; and - Conceptual development of digital content related to cultural heritage, such as videos, audio guides, written narratives, 3D models, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) products. Special attention is being given to accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring that content will be suitable for children and people with disabilities. During the period, the ADRIJOROUTES project continued its steady and coordinated progress, with all foreseen activities being implemented across the different work packages. Each Project Partner remained actively involved, either by delivering expected outputs or contributing to shared efforts. The Lead Partner ensured the smooth coordination of the partnership and the consistent advancement of activities. Close collaboration with local Port Innovation Crews (PICs) was maintained, allowing for meaningful stakeholder involvement in identifying and selecting Points of Interest (POIs) to be enhanced through “phygital” contents. The ADRIJOROUTES Action Plan was finalized and officially adopted. It outlines concrete measures to achieve the objectives of the ADRIJOROUTES Cross-Border Strategy by 2030 and it comprises 34 action "fiches" designed to promote the ADRIJO network and platform, and to enhance the cultural heritage of the Italian and Croatian partner ports as alternative cultural destinations in the Adriatic. Each fiche specifies how the action contributes to the Strategy’s objectives and to the horizontal principles of sustainability, accessibility, and social inclusiveness. Concurrently, significant work began to restructure and update the ADRIJO Platform, improving user accessibility and integrating new content such as the seven thematic routes. Each route now features a unique graphic design element to guide users in exploring content intuitively. Platform visibility requirements were also updated to ensure alignment with Interreg Italy-Croatia Programme regulations. The platform was further enriched with updated content on both POIs and routes provided by partners. Communication activities remained consistent with the project’s Communication & Dissemination Strategy. Highlights include participation in the Croatian Port Days in Dubrovnik, a cross-fertilization event in Ravenna (with another ETC project) and attendance at the Blue Marina Award in Pescara. Social media platforms and the website were regularly updated, while the Lead Partner actively contributed to Programme communication campaigns. Finalization of the seven cross-border Adrijoroutes was completed, showcasing sustainable cultural experiences tied to Adriatic port heritage. The process was guided by clear POI selection criteria (final POI list was validated on February 2025) and a standardized On-Site Assessment Methodology to ensure accessibility, quality, and stakeholder input. Each partner played a specific role in route development being assigned of the coordination of a specific route: - LP (ADSPMAC) Route of Taste - PP2 (NASPA) Route of Architecture - PP3 (ADSPMACS) Naturalistic Route - PP5 (KIP) UNESCO Route. - PP6 (DPA) Historic Route. - PP7 (ZPA) Hidden Gems Route. - PP8 (RERA) Travellers & Trade Route. PP4 (PNAEAS) does not coordinate a route, however it participates in the realization of all the defined routes. By the end of the Period all seven Adrijoroutes were published on the ADRIJO platform, advancing the project's mission to position Adriatic ports as inclusive cultural gateways, promoting sustainable tourism. Regarding the enhancement of content accessibility and creation of immersive cultural experiences. Partners launched tendering procedures to implement accessible solutions for diverse audiences and realize the Cross-Border Living Museums also basing on the CB Living Museum Methodology released at the beginning of the current period which provides unified implementation guidelines. PPs carried out different actions, all having the scope of creating a more accessible, inclusive, and digitally enriched tourism offer, preserving the hidden maritime heritage of Adriatic port cities and promoting long-term engagement through innovative cultural tools. Throughout the semester, the project’s communication and dissemination (C&D) activities remained vibrant and proactive, in line with the project's C&D Strategy. Highlights included: - The participation at the Croatian Port Days on 27–28 March 2025; - The organization of a joint public high-level event among ADRIJOROUTES and ADRIREC (IPA-ADRION project) in Ravenna; - The participation at the “Italian Cruise Day in tour” in Chioggia on 20 June 2025; - The Organization of a dissemination meeting to promote Komiža’s rich cultural and maritime heritage on 12 June 2025 and - The participation at “Blue Marina Awards” held at Marina di Pescara on 18 July 2025. A Steering committee meeting restricted to the partnership was organized in Venice in June 2025. It was the occasion to have an overview about progress in project implementation as well as to identify any criticality or potential risk that could affect the last phase of project realization. Also, the mid-term review meeting was held in JUly 2025 with IT-HR Programme Authorities to check how the project was performing.

REMEMBER project (EN) | ADRIJOROUTES proposal makes use of the results of REMEMBER project, financed under Priority 3 of Italy-Croatia programme whose objective was to promote and valorize the maritime tangible and intangible heritage of 8 Adriatic Italian and Croatian ports, namely Ancona, Ravenna, Venice, Trieste, Rijeka, Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik to create new economic opportunities in the touristic and cultural sector, through the digitalization of the cultural contents. ADRIJOROUTES creates synergies with the 2 main results of REMEMBER project: the ADRIJO network, set up in May 2019 to jointly valorize the common tangible and intangible heritage of the Adriatic Italian and Croatian ports, and the ADRIJO platform, www.adrijo.eu, a multilingual platform where the network is represented not only as 8 “local virtual museums”, but also at CB level to highlight the uniqueness of the Adriatic dimension as a single cultural ecosystem. ADRIJOROUTES proposal strengthens and goes beyond the scope of REMEMBER project by fostering the co-definition of alternative, sustainable, green and socially inclusive touristic experiences through the engagement of the key operators of the Adriatic maritime transport sector, contributing to promote the shift to more sustainable and resilient tourism. ADRIJOROUTES stems also from the commitment of project partners, members of the ADRIJO network, to continue the institutional cooperation for the valorization of the Adriatic ports cultural assets to improve the quality of touristic destinations in the concerned territories. The evidence of this commitment is given by the participation after the end of REMEMBER project, in July 2022, to the ESPO AWARD 2022 where the “ADRIJO Network” project was selected as an Eu Best Pratice for the societal integration of ports, and by the presentation of the Network as joint Adriatic destination at the Seatrade Cruise Med event in Malaga in September 2022. (EN), ADRIPROMTOUR project (EN) | ADRIJOROUTES proposal will maintain and reinforce the existing synergies with ADRIPROMTOUR project, financed in the capitalization call of Italy-Croatia programme 2014-2020 and aimed at the valorization of Adriatic cultural and natural heritage through strengthening of visibility and tourist promotion. In this context, the experiences and lessons learnt of ADRIPROMTOUR partners to promote and increase the visibility of the Adriatic cultural heritage also through the participation to several international tourism fairs, will be used for the realization of Immersive Cultural experiences. Synergies between UNIVPM, REMEMBER and ADRIPROMTOUR partner, and ADSPMAC, LP of REMEMBER of ADRIJOROUTES proposal are being exploited also during the preparation phase with particular regard to the promotion of ADRIJO platform during ADRIPROMTOUR initiatives. (EN), APPRODI project (EN) | ADRIJOROUTES proposal will exploit the results and build synergies also with APPRODI project, financed under the ADRION programme 2014-2020, whose main objective to promote and valorize cultural heritages in ADRION area by enhancing management and promotion of ancient harbors sites as touristic destinations, is consistent with the ADRIJOROUTES main aim. In particular, the network of “ANCIENT ADRION PORTS City” and the results of the actions to valorize as new potential destinations 5 pilot sites, among which Dubrovnik and Venice are involved in ADRIJOROUTES as well, will be used to better define the contents of the ADRIJOROUTES CB strategy and action plan. Moreover, synergies and lessons learnt will be drawn by the innovative techniques applied, such as geo-archeological investigations. (EN), ArtVisionPlus project (EN) | Lessons learnt will be drawn also by the ArtVisionPlus project, financed under Italy-Croatia programme, developing new solutions for the development of the less-known tourist destinations, based on the valorization of the cultural heritage and on a new concept of promotion. The main activities of ArtVisionPlus project are consistent with ADRIJOROUTES proposal as they focus on a promotion campaign and on the setting up of a digital platform as virtual space to connect artists and organizers of tourist manifestations. ADRIJOROUTES proposal will explore the methodology implemented for the promotion ArtVisionPlus campaign that will be considered as example for the Immersice Cultural Experienes campaign developed in Act 2.3; ADRIJOROUTES and will get insights and inspiration from the ArtVisionPLus digital platform to enrich and optimize the ADRIJO platform. (EN), SIROCCO project (EN) | The focus of ADRIJOROUTES proposal on the valorization of the ports cultural assets as sustainable, digital and socially inclusive touristic alternative for the involved Adriatic Italian and Croatian ports and related territories, destination of the relevant share of cruise traffic of the Adriatic sea, is consistent with the main objective of SIROCCO project, financed under the MED programme 2014-2020, aimed at enhancing the sustainability of cruise maritime/coastal tourism in the MED Area. The involvement of the Adriatic maritime transport operators in the assessment of 7 ADRIJOROUTES routes aimed at creating alternative cultural offer to the maritime & coastal tourism sector, will take into consideration the main findings of SIROCCO project especially on cruise sector, a very important component of the whole Mediterranean maritime & coastal tourism sector, and characterized by strong economic growth, high value-adding potential for the local communities, whose level of sustainability has a direct positive impact on the sustainability of coastal tourism as a whole in the Mediterranean. Contribution to wider strategies and policies:

EUStrategyAdriaticIonianRegion ADRIJOROUTES proposal contributes to the EUSAIR macro-regional strategy main objective of promoting the economic and social prosperity and growth in the region by boosting the sustainability, social inclusiveness and digitalization of the touristic sector of the Adriatic area through the promotion of a sustainable alternative and socially inclusive approach to tourism based on the valorization of the ports cultural assets. In particular, ADRIJOROUTES proposal contributes to the 2 specific objective of Pillar 4 “Sustainable Tourism”. The 7 ADRIJOROUTES co-developed (act. 2.2) based on the ports cultural heritage will contribute to diversify the macro-region’s tourism products and services, tackle seasonality of coastal and maritime tourism demand and promote the shift to a more resilient and socially inclusive form of tourism. The strengthening and enrichment of the available digital platform www.adrijo.eu with innovative digital cultural contents and the co-development of the CBliving museums enable a combination of offline cultural and touristic information and digitalised contents that contribute to the improvement of the quality and of the innovation of the tourism offer in the Macro-regional area toward a more socially innovative and inclusive tourism sector, able to welcome a wider range of tourists with different needs and background, during all seasons. ADRIJOROUTES proposal is also consistent with the Flagships project of pillar 4 CRUISEAIR, as the ADRIJOROUTES CB Strategy and Action Plan elaborated in Act1 and the involvement of the main representatives of the Adriatic maritime transport and touristic sector in onsite assessment activities will contribute to the definition of an AIR sustainable management destinations action plan for sustainable tourism in cruise destination. Moreover, the co-definition of the 7 ADRIJOROUTES (of which at least 2 will be cross-border) supports the flagship AIRCULTURAL ROUTES for the harmonized distribution of tourism flows.
EuropeanGreenDeal ADRIJOROUTES proposal main objective to valorize the Adriatic ports cultural sites as socially innovative, sustainable and resilient touristic destination is consistent with the overall objective of the European Green Deal strategy to make Europe the first climate neutral continent and, in particular, to decouple the economic growth from the resources use. The strategy of ADRIJOROUTES proposal is based on the co-development of alternative sustainable and environmental friendly tourism approach based on the valorization of the ports cultural assets of the at least 16 Adriatic Italian and Croatian ports involved as alternative to mitigate the environmental and social impact of massive touristic flows that hit the Adriatic touristic destinations during the summer period. ADRIJOROUTES proposal addresses this need by introducing an innovative approach to the touristic and cultural offer of the Adriatic touristic destination: the 8 ADRIJOROUTES partners, representing 6 port authorities, 1 regional development agency and 1 intermodal transport cluster, will involve public and private stakeholders in the field of culture, tourism, maritime transport and local policies planning in the definition of a CB strategy and action plan aimed at identifying environmentally and socially sustainable local cultural offers. The Strategy and Action Plan will target the objectives of sustainable transport, use of clean energy sources, maintenance of healthy environment, circle economy approach, creation of qualified and sustainable jobs, foreseen by the Green Deal strategy and able to ensure the wellbeing and resilience of the local communities affected by the massive touristic flows. The transition towards a greener and digital tourism promoted by ADRIJOROUTES and based on the valorization of the ports maritime cultural heritage, is consistent with the approach of the Green Deal strategy to promote a technological and behavioral change for a carbon neutral future.
Other ADRIJOROUTES proposal is coherent with the European Agenda for Tourism 2030 approved by the Council of the EU on December 2022 that identifies the tourism sector as a key leverage for the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of the EU territories and emphasizes a green and digital transformation toward a more resilient tourism ecosystem to ensure a deep recovery from COVID-19 crisis that hit the touristic sector. Such objective is pursued through ADRIJOROUTES where the partners will be involved in the definition of a Cross-Border strategy for resilient maritime cultural destinations with the aim to introduce alternative cultural offer based on the ports cultural assets and able to answer to the social and economic needs of the territories involved. ADRIJOROUTES proposal, starting from the digitalized virtual museums of the partners involved, intends to support the creation of innovative and sustainable touristic experiences in the Adriatic programma area, co-developed by the partners according to the economic and social needs of the involved territories. The development of innovative and immersive digital cultural products and the co-development of the CB living museums (Act3) enhances the fruition of cultural offer alternative to the coastal maritime offer, and contributes to the greening of the touristic experiences. The involvement at cross-border level of public institutions on culture and tourism at all levels (EU, national and local) (Act.1) and of stakeholders in the field of maritime transport sector, tourism and cultural sector representatives (Act 2) in the definition of the 7 ADRIJOROUTES routes ensures that the resilient, social innovation and social inclusiveness aspects of the touristic proposal are addressed and embedded in the ADRIJOROUTES outputs such as the ADRIJO Cb strategy and action plan, targeted to the 2030, in line with the aim of the Eu Agenda for tourism 2030.
Other ADRIJOROUTES is consistent with the New European Agenda for Culture (COM(2018) 267 final), with particular regards to the social and economic strategic priorities. The CB valorization of the ports cultural assets of the Italian and Croatian ports involved, started already in 2019 through the REMEMBER project and still representing a strategic priority for the involved partners, is in line with the priority of the Eu Agenda for Culture to protect and promote Europe's cultural heritage as a shared resource, to raise awareness of EU common history and values and reinforce a sense of common European identity. This objective is pursued in ADRIJOROUTES proposal, where the social, cultural and economic links that shape the relationship between the ports and the related cities are addressed through a socially inclusive approach. ADRIJOROUTES contributes also to the economic strategic priority of the Eu Agenda for Culture setting the basis for the creation of favorable ecosystems for cultural and creative industries in the Adriatic area, based on the exploitation of the tangible and intangible cultural richness of the ports involved and related local communities, and on the opportunities offered by the introduction of innovative digital and phygital technologies. The ADRIJOROUTES outputs contribute to the transition to a more resilient and socially inclusive tourism in the Adriatic area, through the definition of 7 ADRIJOROUTES, sustainable, digital and socially inclusive, and the enhancement of the digital cultural products that allow the diffusion of sustainable and qualified jobs in the cultural sector.
Other ADRIJOROUTES proposal is coherent with the 5 policy objectives of the European Cohesion Policy for the period 2021-2027. ADRIJOROUTES proposal contributes to a more competitive and smarter Europe paving the way for the creation of sustainable and innovative economic opportunities in the Adriatic culture and tourism offer that can exploit the recent technological innovation in the field of digitalization of cultural contents. The introduction of alternative, sustainable and green cultural and touristic approach foreseen in ADRIJOROUTES proposal, to be disseminated and widespread also through the involvement of the main Adriatic maritime transport operators, contributes to the objectives of a green transition and of a more connected Europe as it intends to promote a behavioral change in the touristic behavioral choices, welcoming the request of more sustainable and environmentally sustainable options in the touristic field.
The valorization of the ports cultural assets of the involved ports and territories as a resilient, sustainable and green touristic alternative is also intended to ensure socially inclusive economic opportunities in the touristic sector: the shift from a coastal tourism to a year-round cultural tourism in the main Adriatic touristic destinations can offer long-term financially and economic sustainability to the private operators, increase the resilience of the job opportunities to ensure a solid recovery from the Covid-19 impacts, and limit the negative social impacts of touristic flows in the peak season.
ADRIJOROUTES proposal contributes also to the additional policy objective “a better cooperation governance” of the Interreg programmes (art.14 of the Interreg regulation), by enhancing the capacities of public institutions to cooperate for the definition of cooperation and macro-regional strategies, through the definition of the ADRIJOROUTES CB strategy and action plan for the joint promotion of resilient maritime cultural destinations (Act. 1)

ADRIJOROUTES is coherent with the Investments on culture and tourism implemented by the Italian Government in the context of the RRF (Italian PNRR). In particular, the proposal contributes to digitalization of museums and cultural places to improve the management, the conservation and the dissemination of cultural assets and allow citizens and private operators of the sector to create new ways to enjoy the cultural heritage.
ADRIJOROUTES contributes to the objective of the Italian investment of the creation of a digital infrastructure to collect, integrate and safeguard digital resources, as complementary to the investments on the physical heritage in order to allow a comprehensive sharing of the huge Italian cultural assets. Italian Government is investing 500 Mil of € on this topic and this investment will be integrated with 1,46 Bil of € from the national complementary fund (Fondo Complementare)

ADRIJOROUTES objectives are in compliance with Croatian National Sustainable Tourism Development Plan until 2027. The mentioned document sets forth a list of specific objectives with corresponding specific measures, some of which are targeted by ADRIJOROUTES objectives as well:
1st / Development of more evenly distributed tourist traffic in time and space
ADRIJOROUTES objectives envisages as well support for the improvement of the existing public tourist infrastructure based on the unique identity of the region and support for investments in the green and digital transition what later leads to the sustainable development of tourism throughout the year, increase of the diversity of tourist offer and increase the attractiveness of the destination.
2nd / Repositioning of Croatia as a year-round authentic destination of sustainable tourism
ADRIJOROUTES emphasizes the activities that contribute to reduce the seasonality and tend to even territorial development of tourism.
3rd Reducing the negative impact of tourism on the components of the environment, nature and space
The project activities tend to encourage the decrease in tourism pressure to the environment and natural resources byfostering environmentally acceptable solutions in tourism.
8th Development of innovations and digital transformation of tourism market
ADRIJOROUTES activities emphasize the research and innovation activities with the aim of connecting stakeholders in the development of the diverse offer and content of the high added values in sector of culture and tourism.
