Current proposal will capitalize on Project objective 3: Visibility of the hidden, through established innovative methods to modernize cultural heritage and utilize the attracted new audiences.The project set the direction in strengthening the market access and sustainable commercialization of the transnational The Roman Emperors and Danube Wine Route, through developing competitive sub destinations, creating innovative local tourism products, implementing tailor-made marketing activities and establishing professional network structures. #RomansWineDanube project is directly built on the success of SDITOROMAN project, with its objective to promote cultural tourism in the Middle and Lower Danube Region (Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania). It will capitalize on SDITORMAN project as a whole.
- (EN), ISTER ( INTERREG) (EN) | ISTER project focused on rediscovering and revitalizing the ancient Roman Roads Network along the DR as a key driver in promoting territorial development based on sustainable use of cultural and natural heritage (specifically, Roman routes). #RomansWineDanube project will capitalize on Specific Objective 1 - Extend the current knowledge framework through a common and documented database of the Roman route and settlement network along the Danube region, and Specific Objective 3- Increase stakeholder capacities and articulate regulatory framework conditions through policy integration measures. (EN), ARCHEODANUBE (INTERREG) (EN) | This project improved and intensified cooperation among relevant actors in DTP in order to preserve, support and valorize cultural heritage through archaeological parks as products in cities for development of archeotourism. The project paved way for preparation of concrete plans, trainings, tools for preservation and presentation and concrete small pilots, for improving effectiveness of heritage sites management in support implementation of new initiatives in tourism (archaeotourism). #RomansWineDanube project will capitalize on created innovative tools, such as the Transnational Arheo DANUBE Webspace, which was created as a dedicated website, that interested users can use to exchange experience, share knowledge, share international contacts, bring together the relevant actors and stakeholders, promote a culture of creativity and innovation, provide expertise and services, and support business development (e.g. commercial partnerships). #RomansWineDanube project could also use this kind of network for cultural protection. (EN), EUROPETOUR ( ERASMUS +) (EN) | Ten dedicated European institutions and networks (coming from culture, tourism, training, public administration and economic development) from Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, Romania, Austria, Poland, Spain developed a training programme specifically for local stakeholders for cultural tourism in rural area. Following the achieved results of Europetour project, #RomansWineDanube project will capitalize from these results in Roman heritage valorization: destination characterization, developing and positioning of tourism products and services, marketing strategy and planning, access to European sales and distribution channels, communication strategy and planning.
- (EN), Katun Roads of Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina (IPA Cross- Border Cooperation Programme Bosnia and Herzegovina - Montenegro) (EN) | Objectives and results of the action were diversification of tourism offer of cross-border area building on natural and cultural heritage. The Specific Objective was to valorise cultural and natural heritage of less developed tourism areas through rural tourism development. #RomansWineDanube project will capitalize on knowledge and experience of this project through achieved outcomes: improved infrastructure for tourism development in cross border area; increased capacities of rural population (approximately 100 households) for tourism services in cross border area, and promoted unique values of project area as drivers for agriculture and tourism development promoted.
