- EUSALP AG2, 6 & 9 Action Plans (EN) | DIVERSE builds on the work of Action Groups 2,6 and 9. The LP established contacts with AG9 & 2 at the earliest stages of proposal development, in order to align with their objectives, gather inputs and feedback. Data from the EUSALP Energy Survey (2017/2019) are an important basis of this proposal. AG9 also decided to join as project observer. First contacts were established with AG6 co-leaders, as well. AGs will be invited to project dedicated sessions in WP1,2 and 3. (EN), INTERREG ALPINE SPACE
- Alps4GreenC
- (EN) | DIVERSE & Alps4GreenC are carrying out a complementary work on biomass value-chains, although the latter is focusing on biochar production. Project results will be capitalized to understand what practical solutions are available for improving bioenergy routes in terms of sustainability and attention to nature protection. To avoid overlapping & filling in current gaps, RSE has already established contacts with Alps4GreenC LP and first results of the project were discussed to find synergies. (EN), ARPAF FUND
- REDIAFOR (EN) | For the definition of a valid open dialogue toolkit, AG9 suggested DIVERSE partnership to build on the work done by the REDIAFOR project, which was more focused on tackling the conflicts & risks emerging from the multifunctional use of Alpine forests. Based on this, DIVERSE will build on the dialogic approach & SH engagement techniques developed by REDIAFOR, starting from the key lessons learnt of the project. (EN), INTERREG ALPINE SPACE
- Forest EcoValue
- (EN) | LGCA is a partner in the Forest EcoValue project and will take care of developing adequate synergies with DIVERSE, capitalizing on the experience in the involvement of public & private sectors to improve the economic sustainability of forest ecosystem services on a local scale. (EN), INTERREG ALPINE SPACE
- AlpLinkBioEco (EN) | The supply chain development methodology devised by the AlpLinkBioEco project will be a tool to support DIVERSE transnational pilot in the definition of scalable circular business models for Alpine Energy Communities, able to connect primary producers, intermediaries, product developers, retailers and end-users in the biomass sector. LGCA, as PP in this past project, will inform DIVERSE PPs on the use of the methodology and on its adaptation to the bioenergy sector. (EN), INTERREG ALPINE SPACE
- H2MA (EN) | 4ER and ITALCAM, as PP in H2MA, will build synergies with this on-going project, fostering the exchange of data, best practices & cooperation mechanisms for producing a complementary work, aimed at the enhancement of renewable energy diversification in the Alps and at the integration of nature protection concepts at the early stages of expansion projects. (EN), INTERREG ALPINE SPACE
- AMETHyST (EN) | DIVERSE will build contacts with AMETHyST partners through AG9, as they are conducting complementary work on RES. Although focusing on the deployment of local Alpine green hydrogen ecosystems, the overall objective is aligned with DIVERSE goal: to enhance renewable energy diversification in the Alps, based on territories capacities & resources. (EN), INTERREG ALPINE SPACE
- IMEAS (EN) | IMEAS developed a methodology & practical guidance for creating roadmaps based on multi-level approaches connecting actors from different economic sectors, governance levels, territories and countries. IMEAS created an online platform (imeas.eu) to share tools and experiences to support successful low-carbon energy transition strategies, which can effectively support DIVERSE work for the definition of credible Alpine Trajectories for reaching sufficiency & planning energy diversification. (EN), INTERREG ALPINE SPACE
- BB-Clean (EN) | Similarly to BB-CLEAN work, the project will set up transnational co-design working tables (the Focus Labs) between policy makers, other bioenergy actors, environmental protection and biodiversity experts. It will also take inspiration from their crowdfunding platforms as starting point for the elaboration of ad-hoc protocol to support an open dialogue on bioenergy among key stakeholders. (EN), INTERREG ALPINE SPACE
- CaSCo (EN) | The CaSCo project assessed the impact of low carbon material flows of timber products on the climate, developed and established policy guidelines and provided decision makers with steering instruments to actively trigger climate friendly timber products. The Low Carbon Timber Toolkit and Guide will support DIVERSE analysis of the sustainability trade-offs, criteria and opportunities offered by bioenergy value-chains, especially those based on the use of forest biomass. (EN), INTERREG ALPINE SPACE
- ECOLE (EN) | RRA LUR is WP2 leader in this on-going project, which is focused on solving problems Industrial Parks (IPs) face to become integrated circular Eco- Industrial Parks. RRA LUR will capitalize the cooperative approach established in ECOLE & the experience in setting up transnational pilots on circular economy topics to guide the test and evaluation of DIVERSE open dialogue within WP2. ITALCAM is also PP in this project, supporting stakeholder engagement aspects. (EN), INTERREG ALPINE SPACE
- ARDIA-Net (EN) | LGCA, who participated in the ARDIA-Net project, will support the capitalization of lessons learned and policy implications analyzed by the project in relation to the socio-economic impacts of bioenergy value chains at the local level. Furthermore, the “Innovation Express” financing program created by ARDIA-Net can support the evaluation of the economic impact of the expansion of SME markets and services in the bioeconomy sector and the role that Energy Communities can play in such a scenario. (EN), INTERREG CENTRAL EUROPE
- TeBiCE (EN) | DIVERSE will complement TeBiCE work in the establishment of sustainable value chains for bio-based products. Although focusing on the use of biomass for energy purposes, this project will make use of TeBiCE market and residual biomass flows analyses to include considerations upon potential displacement effects on the bio-based value-chains and the synergies that can be created with the whole bio-based sector. Synergies with this ongoing project will be ensured by AVISP, who is TeBiCE LP. (EN), INTERREG CENTRAL EUROPE
- PROSPECT2030
- (EN) | With PIEMONTE as LP, the project focused on good governance as the key driver to unlock the energy transition towards a low-carbon economy. PIEMONTE will build upon the capacity building workshops & mutual learning sessions organized within PROSPECT2030 to support WP1 task leaders in the setup of DIVERSE Open-Dialogue Toolkit & Focus Labs. (EN), INTERREG EUROPE
- APPROVE (EN) | APPROVE has tackled barriers to the development of RES, focusing on awareness raising capacity building and stakeholder participation as ways to enable and promote RES. The interregional workshops & stakeholders’ meetings organized by the project will provide important inputs for the setup of DIVERSE open dialogue toolkit. In addition, APPROVE Policy Briefs & Regional Action Plan will be capitalised to define the Alpine Trajectories, one of the key outputs of DIVERSE project. (EN), HORIZON 2020
- ISABEL (EN) | Similarly to DIVERSE, ISABEL project aimed to create the conditions for the development of sufficiency-oriented energy communities based on the production and consumption of sustainable bioenergy (in ISABEL specific case, sustainable biogas). DIVERSE will analyse and capitalise ISABEL case studies to draft the circular business models for Alpine renewable Energy Communities that are committed to integrate nature protection concepts, while providing policy recommendation for their functioning. (EN), INTERREG DANUBE TRANSNATIONAL PROGRAMME
- DanuP-2-Gas
- (EN) | TZE, as LP of the DanuP-2-Gas project, will provide the technical know-how for supporting the setup of DIVERSE pilot & case studies. In particular, it will be assessed the possibility to adapt & use the optimization tool developed for the Danube Region to calculate the feasibility of power-to-gas hubs, thus providing a sound basis for the development of circular business models for Alpine Energy Communities within DIVERSE project. (EN), Bioeconomy Pilot of the Vanguard Initiative (EN) | LGCA is the technical coordinator of the bioeconomy pilot project of the Vanguard initiative, a network of 35 EU regions focused on promoting new growth using the S3 strategy.
