Balts’ Road combines unique natural and cultural objects such as Balts’ cult areas: springs, trees, forests and lakes, exclusive monuments, modern interesting places. It is a holistic experience that extends beyond mere sightseeing, offering immersive educational programs presented by skilled craftsmen and a tantalizing taste of the local cuisine. The project will combine the Balts heritage places in Lithuania and Poland cross-border regions into one travel destination. This ambitious initiative aims to unite the Balts' heritage places across Lithuania and Poland's cross-border regions, transforming them into a singular and compelling travel destination. The main goal is to foster sustainable preservation, development, and widespread appreciation of the natural and cultural heritage objects, services, and products within these regions. By creating a cohesive travel experience, Balts’ Road seeks to elevate the profile of these areas, making them more alluring, visible, and charming for visitors. Through strategic partnerships and a shared commitment to sustainable tourism, Balts’ Road endeavors to weave together the past and present, ensuring a lasting legacy for future generations to appreciate and cherish.

Actual Achievements (EN):

Project preparation period was from 09.01.2024 till 29.02.2024 and at that time project partners has 3 meeting to prepare project application. Meeting were on 14.01.2024; 30.01.2024 and 13.02.2024 were all three partners participated. Meetings agendas, participant lists and meeting minutes are attached in this report. Project preparation costs are declared in other separate report. Partners already had two project meetings - one online meeting on 10.12.2024 and also meeting with program on 21.03.2025 the Lithuanian partner PP2 organized a scheduled in-person meeting in Vilkaviškis on March 21, 2025. The meeting was crucial for further project progress and team integration. During the event, progress on ongoing tasks was discussed in detail, current challenges were identified, and joint solutions were developed to support the further development of project activities. Initial concepts for the cultural trail were also presented, and a field visit was conducted, during which the partners explored the cultural heritage sites of Yatvingia (Sudovia), including a place of worship and a Yotvingian stronghold. Participants also had the opportunity to experience a contemporary interpretation of Baltic cuisine by tasting local dishes prepared specifically for the project. These elements enriched the partners' shared experience and deepened their understanding of the project's objectives. Both online and in-person meetings played a significant role in effectively coordinating work, improving organization, and strengthening cooperation between partners, providing a solid foundation for further effective project implementation. LP started works on website translation to PL language straight after project implementation started. At the end of the 1st period the main part of the website is already translated or handed over to translators to translate. Second period plan is to put all the translated information back to the website. LP purchased translation service from UAB "Kalbų spektras" and made contract with it. In this period LP and PP3 implemented planned deliverable D.1.2.1 by organizing an online seminar for guides and tourism industry representatives LP had two online seminars for guides. 6 lectures gave 6 different themes for listeners. Seminars were held on 24.04.2025 and 22.05.2025. PP3 seminar took place on May 15, 2025, and included three lectures on the broad history of Masuria and the Suwałki Region. Also partners participated in other partners' organized online training. Both partners worked together to have best result of this activity. Online seminars were broadcasted live and translated Lithuanian-Poland languages. EUStrategyBalticSeaRegion The proposed project goes in line with EUBSR Strategy and its objectives 'Increase Prosperity' and 'Connect the Region'. Its policy area 'Tourism' notes necessity for creation and promotion of sustainable tourism products and services at cross-border level, there is a growing demand for theme-based high quality products in the fields of culture, nature, active recreation.
Other Project directly contributes to realization of LT Progress Strategy 2030, priority areas: Smart Society and Smart Economy is highlighting the need of the development of the society with strong cultural identities preserving cultural heritage values, open to innovations and economic growth in all economic sectors, as well in tourism.
Other "Socio-economic development strategy for Warmia and Mazury 2030"
The main objective of the voivodeship strategy is the economic, social and spatial cohesion of Warmia and Mazury with the regions of Europe. Detailed objective 5.5. Strategic objective: Creative activity - emphasizes the importance of regional and international cooperation. This objective includes, among others: creation, development and promotion of network supra-regional tourist products, mainly based on common natural and cultural heritage using ecological greenways. The project will contribute to this by creating and promoting the international cultural trail "Szlak Bałtów" based on the cultural heritage of the Polish-Lithuanian borderland.
Other "Development Strategy of the Podlaskie Voivodeship 2030"
Main directions of intervention 1.3. Local entrepreneurships include, among others, supporting the development of tourism based on, among others, natural values, cultural heritage and local tourist products. The project will contribute to this by creating and promoting the international cultural route "Balt Trail" based on the cultural heritage of the Polish-Lithuanian border. Combining existing attractions and increasing the number of tourist attractions will increase interest in the region and thus the development of tourist and related services.
In the context of the strategy, an important aspect will be the development of international and supra-local partnerships that will support the creation of supra-regional tourist products and the promotion of the resulting products via the Internet.
