Description (EN):

The planned project relates to Priority 2 "Health" and is covered by specific objective 2.1 "Ensuring equal access to health care and supporting the resilience of health care systems, including primary health care and promoting the transition from institutional care to family and community care" of the Interreg NEXT Program Poland-Ukraine 2021- 2027. The main objective of the project is to establish a platform for cooperation to improve the quality of healthcare and reduce inequalities in access to modern diagnostics and effective treatment of patients from the regions of the Lubelskie Voivodeship (PL), Lviv Oblast and Volyn Oblast (UA). The main objective will be achieved through the following specific objectives: I) Increasing the use of digital tools in health care. The goal will be achieved through the following activities: 1) Development and implementation of a cross-border cooperation platform "HEALTH BRIDGES" between partners using digital tools and solutions as a space for cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian doctors 2) Creation of a cross-border electronic platform as a tool supporting the implementation of training and consultation activities, allowing for diagnosis and consultation of complex medical cases in real time and the exchange of good practices in the areas covered by the project, II) Increasing the quality of diagnostic and treatment services provided by project partners (hospitals). The objective will be implemented through the following activities: 1) equipping the diagnostic and treatment base of the project partners with medical equipment for the training of training participants and for the diagnosis and treatment of patients, 2) adapting the premises of the Department and Clinic of Dermatology, Venereology and Pediatric Dermatology in the University Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Lublin in order to improve the quality of health care for patients. 3) Establishment of the Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Skin Cancer Diseases III) Increasing the level of knowledge, skills and qualifications of Polish and Ukrainian academics and medical staff of hospitals in the field of health care within 4 specializations: dermato-oncology/dermatology, surgery, ophthalmology, anaesthesiology. The objective will be implemented through the following activities: 1) organization and conduct of trainings, workshops and study visits using the purchased equipment 2) organization of a conference summarizing the project The project will be implemented in the period from August 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026. The project is part of the 1, 2, 5 and 6 initiative of Priority II Health. The material scope of the project consists of 5 substantive tasks: 1)Work package 1 - Modernization of premises in the building of the University Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Lublin for the needs of Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Skin Cancer Diseases 2)Work package 2 - Creation and operation of a cooperation platform for telediagnostics, training, workshops and consultations "HEALTH BRIDGES" 3)Work package 3 - Retrofitting health care facilities for the needs of diagnostics and patient examinations and conducting training activities 4)Work package 4 - Organization and conduct of trainings, workshops and study visits 5)Work package 5 - Promotion, communication and publicity The project will cover the area of the Lublin Voivodeship (PL) as well as the Lviv and Volyn Oblasts (UA). The project is complementary and will be implemented by 5 partners, including 2 partners from Poland and 3 partners from Ukraine (3 universities and 2 hospitals).
